Wow Judy.. thank you for writing such a heart felt post to Talon.. You didn't have to include me in that post but "thank you" judy... You are one of those friends I have that will be my friend forever.. Love ya..

Every so often you meet someone so special they are embedded in your mind forever. Someone who really understands the important things in life.. Things like Love for others, caring, compassion, dignity and respect. Eight months ago in a forum far far away I had the pleasure of meeting one such person. I was the Newbie in that forum at the time, but this person saw to it that I felt at home with my new family. I appreciated this quality about this person and formed a friendship that will last a lifetime. When I came here to this forum, she followed me wanting to give the same warm feelings she gave me to the new people joining here every day. This person also recently caught the eye of forum management and was promoted to Moderator of the African Grey Room and the Training room.. Not only will she be extending her warmth to all the new members she will also have the ability to help them in ways she wasn't able to in the past.. Penny aka TALON.. Let me be the first to Congratulate you on your 1000th post and thank you for doing so much for this forum.. Let me also extend a personal "Thank you" from my heart.. For helping me when I was that Newbie struggling to find my way in a big new place... Hey everyone lets extend our warmest wishes to Talon for her milestone achievement of reaching the 1000 post count.. Yeah it is sad... and can you imagine how many parrots are kept this way that we never find out about.. OMG I can't imagine how many of these poor creatures are abused as a daily occurrence... :angry:

I was thinking about the same thing..

Tari and Talon got it right.. what affects our human systems aren't the same as what affect birds, or any other animal's system for that matter.. BUT.. and you know there is always a BUT somewhere.. What about bird flu.. Here is a germ that can make the jump between species. My thought is if there is one such germ that can make it across from birds to humans.. can there be such a germ that makes if from humans to birds? I don't know but it's certainly something to think about....

What can I say Melissa other then.. Your pretty good with photoshop aren't you.. :P :P No really, thank you so much for thinking about me like this. To me it was easy to hit this magically 1000 post mark as I like being here and talking to all my family members.. When you compare my first 1000 posts to NON ADMINS you come to realize that a NON ADMIN has way more important things to say then I do. Many of my posts are not related much to the African Grey but many are related to site issues and cries for help.. So with this considered I still think that the 1000 posts made by Judy trumps mine.. but I do thank you Melissa for doing this for me.. I really do... Thank you Kiddo...
