2. I have started to notice Ceasar making a certain sound.. Kind of like a chirp, when he gets excited or wants to come to you.. It is very distinct and can be easily spotted when he does it.. As far as something that would make me think.. smile.. Perhaps how he looks when he is shaking his tail.. but I'll watch for it now more then ever..

  10. Well, Melissa beat me to the post but I do have something to say.. This is a very special post. Milestones are always very important indicators, not only in the business world be also in our personal lives. When a milestone is reached it usually signals that something good was achieved. The people involved in reaching those milestones usually celebrate.. Well folks, an incredible Milestone was reached today by one of our most popular forum family members. You see my friends JudyGram just reached the 1000th forum post mark. In looking over the forum records I don't see that this has ever been done before.. So without taking too much more time here I want to personally congratulate JudyGram for hitting such a wonderful Milestone here in this forum.. I would also like to invite all of you to join me in thanking Judygram. Thank her for putting this huge amount of time to work in helping others with their questions and concerns. I personally feel lucky to have met such a caring and compassionate woman... THANK YOU JUDY.. CD

Post edited by: CeasarsDad, at: 2007/07/07 19:30

  16. Hi Verena, First off let me welcome you to our family. As you can see above, and what Judy said is true. We care about what happens to everyone here... and yes, that means to the birds too.. You pretty much got all the advice already. I heard 1) wings clipped too short 2) keep him in his cage 3) keep him at lower heights. 4) watch body language 5) get a harness with a short leash. Your other question about the feathers growing back on the wounded area.. Unless there is scar tissue the feathers will grow back in a couple of weeks. Even if there is scar tissue the surrounding feathers will cover it... Don't worry... but you do have to watch him carefully because you were lucky so far.. He could have really hurt himself... 17. Good question Dan.. I am sure that they get happy.. No question about that.. But how do they show that. Interesting to think about.. A smile from the position of the beak??? Now that's something to think about....

    help

Welcome Amanda.. thanks for joining.. i think you will enjoy it here.. No warrantee isn't something I would be very happy about.. At the very least I would force the person to pay for a Vet check up. Or if you are already attached to the bird and you want it, you pay for the Vet checkup. This way you can be sure that the bird is healthy. Chances are nothing is wrong but why gamble with $1000 for any reason.. I wouldn't . When we purchased Ceasar I got a one year replacement warrantee.. Of course they could never replace Ceasar but if something was found to be genetic in the death of the bird they would replace it..
