I have 4 and my quaker gets along great with everyone including my amazon but Opey does keep his distance from Rocky , I can put Opey , Brandi and DJ all on the same playstand with no problems but I do not put any one on the java tree with Rocky is on it , I don't trust Rocky around any of the other birds, so I have to supervise him closely

now Ray how do you figure that? , I only have 4 birds isn't that the norm ? lol I know people that have way more then 4 birds

Iam going to try and fight this MBS off as much as I can , I need to take the money I would spend on another bird and upgrade some things for my birds , like DJ could use a bigger cage the cage he has is nice but I know he could use more room to move around especially since I just added a few more toys for him and I know he would love a playtop cage , Kathie at mysafebirdstore has some nice playtop cages that way Opey could have his cage , Opey doesn't play on his playtop anyways and Dj's cage is bigger then what Opeys has , another reason is I would like to get Rocky a cover for his cage , I have a thick sheet covering his cage now but it doesn't go all the way around his cage now thoose are my reasons why I really don't need another bird ,even though MBS is still in the back of my mind lol

I'am so sad my friend brought Jake over and left him for a few hours while she went to do some shopping , he was great he is such an awsome layed back bird and he got along with Brandi just fine ,she came back to get him and took him home then called me at 8pm and told me her room mate is going to watch Jake, her room mate was going to go on the trip with her but she decided she since was a little low on funds she would just stay at home and watch Jake , I think it's great for Jake because he will be in his own envirement but I was actually looking forward to watching him for 30days, I even rearranged all the cages and furniture to fit him in , o well it worked out great for Jake and I guess thats all that matters now I have MSBS and hubby says no more birds but I never listen to hubby any way lol , so I may end up with another bird next spring , thinking about a older rehome cag or maybe a Timneh , but by next spring my MSBS might ware off so thats the update for now

I have a few long sleeve shirts with buttons on them and all my fids seem to find thoose buttons as a chew toy lol , I say No a few times and that usually works except for Rocky , hard headed amazon lol most of the time I have to put him back on the playstand or his cage , he ignores the word NO and keeps trying to chew my buttons off , he also likes chewing my socks grrrrrr

I have a small fiber optic tree I use , I love it all I do is hang a few small ornaments on it and it's all set to go then back in the box until next year , I think all my fids will be scared of it , Opeys is scared of it and never goes near it and I don't think Rocky, Brandi or DJ will go near it , I was moveing furniture around today and they were scared of the roll top desk we have so I have no worries about a tree

Jake just went for his 2 year check up in August and got a clean bill of health , she has his vet records if I need them , she is very protective over Jake and believe me he gets the very best of everything she has him eating Harrisons pellets with lots of veggies and his cage is loaded with toys plus he has a huge Java Tree to play on just for him , I will let you know how it went on saturday

I have a friend at work that has a 2 and half year old male grey his name is Jake , I have met Jake a few times and he seemed to be layed back and pretty easy going well to make a long story short my friend has to go home to her country on the 16th of this month , she said family business and to visit so she asked me to keep Jake for her until she returns in 30 days, we are going a test run this saturday she will be bringing him over to see how he gets along with , me , hubby and my birds , I think he will be ok with me but kinda worried how he will get along with my fids and I wonder how he will get along with Brandi I will let everyone know on saturday how it worked out , I will post a message

how about Hagens pellets , I have a really picky IRN and right now he is on zupreme fruity but want to switch him to another brand , no fruity stuff so think I'am going to go with Hagen pellets , all my other birds eat Roudybush but he won't touch Roudybush Kathie at mysafebirdstore sells Hagnen pellets all sizes

t I did forget tha dried fruits are higher in sugars , why is that? vegtables to?

I feed all my birds a little of Higgins Celestrial blend but not every day, few times a week because quakers are known to get fatty liver disease and so are Amazons , so maybe twice a week they get a little bit of seed mix , I'am trying to get DJ off the seedmix so he only gets a 1/2 of teaspoon of seedmix everyday with his Nutriberries and he will only eat Kaytee Exact Pellets , not fond of colored pellets but so far that is the only pellet he will touch and I have tried 5 different types of pellets and noooooo Sunflower seeds

I have 4 parrots so I guess I have had MBS a few times

we have one Yellow Crowned Amazon named Rocky , thats my boy even though hubby says Rocky is his bird , Rocky loves people and will step up and go to anyone , he loves food , lots of wood toys and he definitly loves to talk and trys to sing lol he sings I love you la la la everyday and now we are working on Jingle Bells for the holidays , hubby taught him to do the evil laugh and then he asks are you evil? he is definitly a character , class clown would fit him perfectly Rocky is 15 months old and heres some pics of him
