hope we get some good answers , it's weird that Rocky turns back into his easy going self once Cindy leaves , we have other friends come over and he seems to only act that way when she comes over , anyone else doesn't bother him , he acts his normal self

I have noticed the last few times my friend has came over Rocky seems to get really excited , Cindy my friend is scared of him and she doesn't get to close to him but Rocky gets super excited when ever he see's her , his tail flares and spreads wide and all his feathers stand up on his body the bad thing is he is very aggresive with me and lunges at me to bite me if I get close to him , I had to take a bath towel and had him step up on the towel to put him in his cage today , we had plans to go out to lunch and that was the only way I knew to get him back in his cage with out him takeing a chunk out of me soooo whats going on with him????? any ideas? o and Rocky will be 2 in May if that helps

Me and Rocky shared our first Cutie (Tangerine with no seeds ) tonight , I was suprised that he was even interested in it but he loved it juice and all and he doesn't like orange juice weird huh , that was the last one so going to have to buy some more tomorrow none of my other birds will touch one but Rocky will eat almost anything he loves food lol

he is a beautifuk bird and sounds like he has a great mom and dad now

the only problem is Rocky and Brandi do not get along to good so hopefully they won't get in each others way

Rockys wings are clipped not real short but clipped , I haven't checked them in a few weeks but I really didn't think he could fly very far, we were eating dinner and Rocky was on the java tree which is a good 12 feet away from the table and he flew to the dinner table lol , I was totally amazed wowwww and I think he came to beg lol , we had pizza and Rocky loves pizza crust which he gets once in awhile o this should be fun Rocky and Brandi both flying around the house at the same time :eek:

I don't have a tag but Brandi our cag is a very small little girl and she only weighs between 374 and 380 and she is healthy and partially flighted , still waiting for thoose wings to grow out

when we first got Rocky our yellow crowned amazon all he said was Hi and Hello for a good 2 or 3 weeks then he slowly started saying other things now when he gets on a roll talking you just can't shut him up lol , he was around 6 or 7 months old when we adopted him he is now about 17 months old and he know alot of words and sentences , if I repeat something to him over and over for about 2 or 3 days he will start to say it but of coarse its Rockys version lol so it may not be exactly the same

good thing hubby was with me today at the bird store I came sooooooooooooo close to buying a baby Severe Macaw , he was so cute and playful and really cuddly , I gave it a few minutes thought then the thought of 1 more bird to take care of set in and his cuteness kinda wore off plus the are you crazy look my hubby was giving me lol , o well maybe someday but not now , my 4 sure do keep me busy plus the cost of toys and food , but it was sure tempting I did end up buying 4 toys , one for each of them

oops Rocky is older then 6 months eeekkkkkkkkkkk I don't know what I was thinking , I just looked up his hatch date and it's May 21 , 2011 so that would make him 18 months wow he is getting old lol
