I have only had one bird escape and only for about 20 minutes I think that was Opey our quaker he used to always some how get the main cage door , the big front door open some how and get out after I closed it and locked it ,he had me thinking I was loosing my mind a little but we fixed that no more escape for Opey and people think quakers aren't smart lol

watch out for that MBS thats how I ended up with the ringneck but I don't regret a second of it he is such an awsome little bird

ok heres 2 more pics I took of him/her but he doesn't have red eyes it's the camera his eyes are very dark almost black

he/ she is doing great he likes to jump off his cage and trys to fly everywhere , I had to get him quick because he landed on the java tree and at the time Rocky was on it , Rocky was heading his way , Rocky thinks the java tree is his and his alone lol he doesn't like to share it with any bird , so between Brandi and Rocky they take turns playing on it he is eating very good and is now drinking from his water bottle and his weight is good he was 116 grams when we got him and he weighs 119 now , maybe we have another son I'am getting his dna test done tomorrow then I will send it off saturday morning we should know by the end of next week what sex he is , crossing fingers for a boy but a girl is good to

what is the difference between AviGold Flax seed and the flax seed you buy at the grocery store? I think I seen some flax seen called Red Bobs at walmart it was in the organic isle is there any differnce between the two? I recieved a sample packet from Kathie at mysafebirdstore with my order today and the birds just loved it , I put just a little over their veggie dinner tonight

well the ringneck baby is doing fine , she is finally eating and the breeder said she was water bottle trained but I haven't seen her go near the waterbottle yet, I filled one of her bowls up with water and I seen her drinking out of the bowl today and she took a little bath in it afterwards so I changed the water , she still eats a little then go straight up to the top perch and stays , I took her out before I went to work today and we cuddled and gave her scritches for about 45 minutes and she really liked that , she likes a little towel over her then scritches lol and their is a toy close to the very top branch she goes on she was playing with so I guess she is starting to relax some :)

Rocky loves any and all attention , he fits the description class clown very well lol I'am going to have my hubby take some more pics of her this weekend he has a better and newer camera then I do and his pics always turn out much better

I know we just adopted our new baby yesterday but she must be very scared she stays in one corner of her cage and never moves,I took her out of her cage for about 20 minutes today to get pics and to sit with her she seemed to like to get scritches and be cuddled then she jumped off and took off also I had to work tonight and hubby said she did eat some veggies , when I work afternoon shift he always feeds the birds their dinner but he didn't see her drink any water I hope she will relax soon

I'am going to say she for now until I find out for sure , but heres a few pics I took today before I went to work , they are not the greatest pics and they really don't do her justice she has awsome coloring and she won't be still for more then a minute , she is very flighty and heres a new one of Rocky he is such a ham lol

I decided on a Turquosie Indian Ringneck baby today , we picked her up around 4pm today she or he is a Turquosie Lacewing , have to get a dna test done soon to find what sex our new baby is , I will post pics on thursday thats my off day

so far just thinking no definite plans my picks are......... a sunconure , another quaker but only a male and it's hard to find dna tested quakers theese days , I did email someone that has Ice Blue Quakers close to me but I asked if he dna tests so waiting on a reply on that or a lovebird , but don't you have to have 2 lovebirds ? someone told me I forgot who that love birds should be kept in pairs is that true? not looking for a big bird just a sweet small bird , well compared to Rocky theese are small birds lol
