so sorry to hear about Anya I know what you are going through we lost Cody our special grey awhile ago and I know it's very heart breaking , I still miss him alot even though we have a new baby grey she will never take Cody's place in our hearts

I would definitly get him to a vet and yes it looks like the did a really bad job at trimming his wings , I have a friend that does my birds wings sometimes but I'am going to start takeing mine to my vet to have them done except for Brandi my baby grey I'am going to let her grow hers back out

I have decided to let her wings grow back out and I'am first going to try to get the covers for the burners if that doesn't work then I will get the mesh or the bamboo curtains , wonder how long it will take to ler wings grow back out?

hmmm your right Im never thought about the kitchen being so close but she has to turn the corner to get in the kitchen and the reason she came in the kitchen all the time was to go to the cup and her formula is on the counter in the kitchen , she wanted her formula because that was the first place she would go to , I was thoose mesh kurtains the ones on tv like for patio's that would work I think , I wonder how long it will take to let her wings grow back out?

hmm I don't have a good story about Rocky , Rocky is just Rocky everyday he eats, talks and bounces all over his java tree

mine is something like that I bought all of mine at the bird store by my house the only problem with them is they get a little hot when the weather is hot outside but they all ride in a air conditioned car so it's not a big deal

wow 7 feet is pretty hig , I wish you luck getting the birds down from their , maybe keep a ladder handy I think

to begin with Brandi has a bad habit of flying around the kitchen especially when I'am in their cooking today she decided to take a flight in the kitchen I had just turned the burners off on the stove about 5 or 10 minutes before , this is her landing pad always on the burners of the stove , we have an electric stove which I hate good thing the burners were cooled off or we would have had a major accident , thats when I decided to call a friend of mine that usually does the birds nails and wings and have her come do Brandi's wings , I felt so bad the whole time she was cliiping them but I don't want my baby girl hurt , she did a slight clip what she calls a beginner clip so they aren't real short , now when she trys to take off she gently glides to the floor even though she can still get to the kitchen table and living room couch with not to much effort , I just still feel like a bad mom for doing that to her but for her safety for now I think it's for the best

I have a canvas carrier most bird stores sell them and Mysafebirdstore.com sells them , I have a small one for my quaker and 2 large ones for my amazon and Brandi our grey

I know what you are going through I can't make up my mind to clip or not to clip but the more I think about it clip might be the best for here , Brandi will not stay out of the kitchen and a few times she has landed on the burners on the stove thank god they were not turned on or she would have been seriously burned , that alone has made me think clipping is best for her , still deciding but leaning towards clipping , have to get my vets opinion on this to
