DJ is a CAG and started talking about a month ago and he is 10 months old now. I spend a lot of time with him and we chat a lot. Maybe this has encouraged him to talk.

Well, i hope she is fine and this is nothing serious at all.

Something funny happened while we were there, a Raven came near DJ and he was trying to take over the small stand i made to snatch his food. DJ has never met one in his life before, but he knew somehow that a Raven is not a friend. So he got really angry and fluffed up and scared Raven away. Now i know that CAGs are not an easy bite and will defend their territory bravely That's when i took the picture before the last one.

I believe you, a harness is on my list and i will order one in the next few days. DJ's wings were clipped by the breeder, i never wanted that, but in Dubai we don't have many options as i told you before. Although i feel bad about the harness as i want DJ to be as happy as possible. You are the one with experience and i am still new to handling CAGs, i will take your advice.

I was a stay at home Dad yesterday and i took my daughter and DJ to have some fun at the beach, i thought to share it with you It was a beautiful sunny day, DJ was there for the first time. My daughter was really excited and had fun. DJ was wondering what was going on! He's never seen the beach or stepped on sand before. He was very excited too and we all had so much fun

Nice looking parrot! Yes it's a Blue Headed Pionus, i have done my research already and all in love. Their eyes remain dark even when they grow older. Beautiful colored feathers and an amazing personality. I have never seen one for sale here in Dubai.

DJ somehow tells me he needs to get busy with toys, he likes to shred things. I keep buying him shredable toys, and he usually destroy them in minutes! It is expensive to keep a grey, and it's our responsibility to keep them happy and healthy. This is how i keep DJ happy and healthy: The only times i lock him in his cage are when we sleep or when we go out (Spends most of his time on the play top) He get's all the healthy food he can eat (As recommended by experienced members here) I buy him 1 toy a week (Mostly shredables) He gets to bathe twice a week and spend an hour or two in the sun right after I spend at least an hour with him everyday (Mainly after i come home from work) We exchange talk and sounds a lot during the day. His cage is placed in the living room were we hang out most of the time. He shares our food everyday, it makes him feel as part of the family. We cover three sides of the cage when sleep time, as he likes to see what's happening. We do not limit his movement at home, so it's fine when he leaves his cage and follow me around the house. We understand that sometimes he wants to be left alone, so we give him some privacy. We clean his cage once a day (Every morning after his breakfast) He even watch TV with us By doing all of the above, our loving CAG is busy most of his time and he doesn't have time for anything else. He is constantly busy and stimulated.

My Grandfather used to tell us, it's a blessing to have a bird build a nest somewhere in the house

When you make your mind and all ready to buy a Grey, i want you to avoid buying one from Sharjah Bird Market. Most of these birds are wild caught, sick and in very bad condition! Don't support these shops please, as i can give you the mobile number of a local breeder who i bought DJ from.
