Hi Ray and Gandalf, Welcome to the grey forum. It`s good to see another Ray of sunshine on our forum. You are in for the ride of your life living with a African grey parrot.

Cricket has a bath tub in her cage and all winter about two or three times a week she will take a good bath. Well today she jumped into her bath tub with such excitement and enthusiasm like she was getting ready for opening day at the ballpark. Water was everywhere She can look out her window and see the ground still covered with snow, but it`s like she can see a change coming. I know it`s only March 30th and we still can get some heavy snow in April, but I believe she knows something that I don`t.(I hope) She may want to through out the first pitch on opening day of the ball game. She getting ready for something. The batteries in my camera were to low to get a video. this bath went on for about 20 minutes and now she is preening her feathers. I hope this is a good sign.(I hope, I hope, I hope)

Reading about Miss Gilbert always gives me complete joy. I know how proud you must be.

I have a concrete perch in each of my birds cage and have used them for years. I have not had a need to trim any of their nails.

Rosie looks like a real delight. My BFA Cricket is about 18 and is a gem in our flock. Aren't amazons great ?

What a great outdoor space for your flock to spend time in. You may need a beach umbrella to sit under to keep from being pooped on. P.S. I hope you have good locks on the doors so someone can`t just walk in. (Dead Bolts) Spending time outside with your birds will be great.

Now Cricket my amazon loves "anything" warm hot or cold. If she can eat it, it`s gone. Now my grey Corky, It`s Potato, toast with butter, oatmeal or any thing you may be eating.

Those tiny little steps are not so tiny and little any more. It`s like leaps and bounds and getting bigger all the time. Its like when the door opened it was a rush to get out.

Great pictures and I`m glad things are going well. Alexandra looks great along with conures Sweet Pea and Einstein.
