  1. Lol Steve! Also very relieved dogs don't talk! I work outdoors, and a lot of squashed fingers, cut arms, banged knees, stepped on toes, etc... go with the territory. So the occasional cuss word is spewed freely. So glad I don't have to monitor myself when outside! Biscotti has made me more aware of what comes out of my mouth, the dogs just don't care & look at you lovingly & wag their tails & you don't have to worry about them repeating bad words.
  2. Biscotti's is black, black all the way.
  3. Cute & perfect song in the second video!
  4. Cute! Love the little parrot prints in the sand
  5. What a sweetie! Loved the videos with the baby sounds. You are so fortunate to be able to visit with your baby while it is in it's early growth stages. You are gonna have a lot of fun with that baby! Enjoy!
  6. He sure is a fine looking fellow! Like the pictures
  7. Congratulations on getting your baby home! You are gonna have so much fun with him!
  8. Today is Biscotti's 3rd hatchday! Moving out of the terrible 2's and on to the trying 3's! He has already made a request for black-eyed peas, so off to get the birthday boy his veggies. He'll probably be requesting a peanut butter chaser!
  9. Happy Birdday Rocky!! Enjoy your special treats!
  10. Chezron I also think that they have a sense of humor! Biscotti always seems to know when he says something out of order or made up & he either laughs or says "silly parrot". He will be 3 next week and I was lucky enough to find his breeder who is only about 15 miles from me! I was able to see him & his clutch mate regularly from about 1 week old all the way through until I brought him home at 12 weeks. My visits with him in those 3 months were some of the best memories ever! They changed so quickly & their personalities emerged as they got a little older, it was amazing. I think it was around when they were 4-6 weeks old that Biscotti "chose" me. He would hang with me the whole time I was there! His sister was more independent. I am so glad I got to be a part of his early development.
  11. Thank you chezron, I am so glad to be able to share Biscotti's silliness with all of you. He really is a joy ( and a laugh ) to have around!
  12. I thought that was odd to candismalli, I think they meant the bird in the background- but it looks like a cag too!
  13. She is beautiful!! You are gonna have so much fun with her I too love the extra red feathers, so sweet! Enjoy your baby.
  14. Just saw this on facebook, too funny not to share! But I'm glad Biscotti doesn't say this.
  15. Adorable!! Thanks for sharing this.
  16. Glad you & Gracie survived this intact! So sorry to hear about your finger though, I remember the first real bite I got from Biscotti ( I wasn't "saving" him- he was just in a mood ) and it is a real awakening if you have never had a real hard bite before! Hope you finger heals quickly & welcome to the "bite-me" club, yours was well earned!
  17. That is just too cute! Beautiful parrot- same color as the melon! Thanks for sharing!
  18. Thank you Katana, yes he is the light of my life! He came to me at a time in my life when I really needed his joyful little spirit. His randomness is what I love so much. In this video I thought it was really interesting when he made the fake sneeze & said "bless you mommy" then a minute later he did a real birdy sneeze/snort (whatever it is that they do) and said "bless you parrot!" I believe he knows who he is , who I am and what things he is simply repeating because he likes them & what is actually happening in the here & now. They are very complex little creatures & I think we are blessed to have them in our lives.
  19. Here is Biscotti rambling, sorry still in his cage- that is where he does most of his talking! He is too busy getting into stuff when he is out to do much talking. http://www.youtu.be/4aApxSp1c3s
  20. So sorry , I know the pain of losing her will take some time to slowly be replaced with wonderful memories. She was so lucky to have you give her the best life a dog could have. Hugs to you and your family & Chickie.
  21. Beautiful baby! You are going to have a lot of fun with him/her! BTW, sexing can be done anytime just a drop of blood for dna. Keep sending us pictures!
  22. Beautiful!! Love the pictures, thanks for sharing.
  23. I am lucky so far Biscotti only knows 1 minor cuss word & I have no one to blame but myself. I went 2 1/2 yrs without him learning any bad words then one evening I dropped a half full glass and said "oh crap". Well, I didn't think much about it at the time but the very next day I heard him beating up a toy in his cage & it fell to the bottom, and he promptly said "Oh Crap!!" I had to go in the bathroom so he couldn't hear me laughing! I have been very careful since then but I still hear it once in a while, usually when he drops something! I can't believe he made the connection with the dropped glass & the cuss word! They are just too smart, watch what you say!
  24. Biscotti knows when he is about to do something he shouldn't - he gives himself away by saying "that's a bad bird" , then goes ahead & does it anyway! They just can't resist doing what they set their mind to!
