Biscotti is no longer cuddly either, after turning approx 18 mo., he said no more. Before that he would crawl under my chin & cuddly the evening away. He still likes his head scratched, on his terms. I love him just the way he is, he is his own bird & still amazes me every day with his intelligence & silliness.

So glad for the update!! I have been wondering about you & Gilbert. What a good boy to be so comfortable in a new environment. You have done an amazing job with him!

As many of the others have said, the bird you are seeing right now may be a different bird in a few months/years. My grey chose me, there were 2 in his clutch & at first I was leaning toward the other- she seemed more outgoing & inquisitive at the time. But after they were about 6 weeks old, every time I went to visit them the other grey ( my Biscotti ) would come and hang with me the whole time. He was active & inquisitive but really wanted to be near me. So I chose him, he chose me. For about the first year, he was a sweet cuddle bug. Then as he got older & became more independent his cuddleness slowly disappeared. He is still awesome & amazing and I love him to pieces, but he prefers to just be near me and asks for occasional head rubs, when he feels like it. Just saying the baby personalities you are seeing now will probably change, so go with your heart and choose one you really love, if it 's personality changes down the road- you will still love it. Biscotti loves them & makes a big ol mess! The first time I gave him some I didn't know what a mess they could be & I about had a heart attack when I went to his cage & saw red splatter everywhere!! I thought he had cut himself some how, lol. It was just flung pom juice.

How exciting for Gilbert & you! I can't even imagine what he must be thinking & feeling to realize that his wings are actually working again! He is acting like a fledgling!! Amazing that he let you clean his cage with him in it! Biscotti pecks my head, pulls my hair & I had better not touch HIS toys, so he always comes out when I clean his cage where he can watch & supervise, lol. So great to hear that Gilbert is being more receptive to you, that really makes me smile!

They must like the sound of "tickle", Biscotti says that too! He always says it three times, "tickle, tickle, tickle". Isn't it wonderful to hear what they come up with!

I started visiting my breeders babies at about 2 weeks old & had the choice of 2. At first I was leaning to baby #1 because she ( didn't know the sex then ) seemed more alert & intrested in what was going on. After a couple visits it became obvious that the other ( male ) had chosen me! I was thrilled because I didn't care what the sex was ( still didn't know at this time ) and I knew that this baby wanted to be with me, so I chose him. Every time I visited,until he was ready to come home, he would spend his whole time hanging with me. I am so glad that Biscotti chose me! I would really lean toward a baby that chooses you! <3

So glad Gilbert and family had a nice Christmas!! Love the car trick! I wonder how long before they figure it out Happy New Year Gilbert & crew!!

Congratulations! You are going to have an amazing experience watching your baby grey grow up! I started visiting my boy Biscotti at about the same age, they really grow quickly for a few months! How nice that the breeder will let you visit, your baby will already know you when you bring it home. Keep us updated with pictures, it will seem like a long wait- but it is so important for your baby to get the right start with a knowledgeable breeder. Enjoy!

Biscotti has an orbit/atom that I made for him out of flexible pvc tubing & pvc fittings. The nice thing with this one is I can redo the vetwrap as necessary when it gets poopy. Biscotti LOVES it, he hangs out here a lot!

I loved reading this!! How exciting not knowing what he may come up with next!! Love, love the Lulu stuff- so funny! Maybe he heard the nasty sounds in one of Biscotti's videos! Lol. Biscotti is so fond of his potty humor, just like a little kid! " Brrrawpt, who did that?? Phew,phew, phewwy!" Can't wait to hear what Gilbert let's loose with next!!
