1. Hi Patrick - I have to giggle at your first line excusing yourself for your poor English - WHERE! Your English outweighs some English people (as does all of Scandanavia!!) Four greys - wow - on top of wanting to be a teacher! You are one patient guy! Welcome to the forum - hope to see some pictures of your lovely babies xx
2. It's lovely to hear of your progress with Meggie - and now that Meggie is not a shebird, then to save his blushes, pretend his name was "Nutmeg" but you call him a pet name!! I agree with Judy - a picture would be lovely xx
3. Talon wrote: Well I never, the first ever time I will ever disagree with you! Please don't categorise yourselves as being the "older" snubs. I don't consider myself as being old (well, 35 is ancient to 15 year olds, but in this context I'm not old) but I agree wholeheartedly with you! I am afraid I agree with all the people here who don't think that this video is tasteful. I watched it and didn't find it funny at all. If it is picking it up in the house it lives in then I'd move out - sounds all too volatile for me - oh and the evil bird can't be misread as being directed elsewhere either. Just an end note though - if you look below the live chat window it tells you that messages with offensive words will be filtered automatically - I just assumed this would go for threads too? I'm no prude - and funnily enough not Amish either - in fact I come from the same town as Panther and Jaguar - and can't remember the Amish community there! Penny - don't hang up your socks just yet - I for one value all the hard work you put into this forum, as well as the other admin and mods and would like to thank you openly for your time and efforts!!
4. Ishmael - Harvey is the same as your bird - he is trained too. I certainly wouldn't want he wanted - I'm afraid I pride myself on my home too much (and also I have young nieces around all the time and wouldn't want them playing in parrot poop!). He goes on his playstand - the only time he has an accident is when he is in here with me in the study and he's sitting on top of the door - he's too nosy to go and unless I take him there he'll not go himself! I combat this by putting some newspaper under the door!
5. Dee - you must be the most experienced non-grey owner (up until last Saturday) on this forum - you've been around forever!! You will be fine - Juno will be fine (well, more than fine looking at that cupboard of yours)! Cutie picture - what a sweetie!!!
6. The cement perch is Harvey's resting place in his cage when he's in it - Harvey's nails are beautifully manicured! We also added some nobbly bobbly ones to his playstand too - so if he's sitting on there they get a quick filing too. The way we got Harvey on his cement perch was to make it the highest point in the cage - he heads there all the time. Good luck xx
7. I am sitting here praying that Captain Jack is indeed John Barrowman (yum, yum!!)Okay - that's been blown out of the water - fantasy over! Hi Captain Jack - welcome to the forum - my Harvey is also 11 months old so I know exactly what's going on in your life!! Look forward to hearing more about you and yours. Jill xx
8. Harvey will sit and squeeze the juice out of fresh pineapple - if nothing - it keeps him quite for about three seconds!!
9. Yip! Flat cap and whippet racing on a Sunday for me too!!!
10. Are they your hairy shoulders Bah - Tiggs has one hell of a claw if it is!!!
11. # 6 things. Nose clippers
12. It's been a while since we heard anything about Coco - Janica - if you are around I'd like to hear how he is doing.

15. This is really sad Tyrell - but why do you feel that you need to give up Ronnie because your wife is working? Both myself and my husband work full time (as do many members of this forum) and we have the happiest little parrot ever. You can still spend plenty of time with Ronnie - he will adapt to your new life - he is only still a baby and therefore very adaptable. I would plead with you to give this a go before selling him - he is only still a baby.
16. Okay - I'll rephrase it oh master: Someone please give me a nudge when the boat goes out, then comes back in one piece!!! :woohoo:
17. Harvey does this too from time to time too, but it usually involves he's excitement over food (you'd think I didn't feed him). The first time he did it I thought he had a chest infection!! So paranoid I am!
18. Harmar - Harvey's right foot is orange every day too - it's the one he holds his palm nut in - I wouldn't worry - you have to eat a whole lot more of carrots than that to build up the carotene in anyone's system. Judy's right - don't worry - it's just the colouring
19. Damn! I thought they were contemporary funerals and they were dressed as drag queens whilst bearing! Now that is definitely something I would like to see!!! I worked for a Pathologist for 6 years - so have the typical undertaker in mind - the feathers and the heavy make up would have just made my day!!!

21. I hope everybody has taken a moment to remember our fallen soldiers (from all of the allies) who have given their lives for our freedom. Throughout my young years it was imperative in our household that we held the two minute silence, and it is something I have instilled into the children in their upbringing. I hope also, that on Wednesday we all stop again on the 11th hour of the 11th day of the 11th month to remember again.

Post edited by: JillyBeanz, at: 2009/11/08 14:31
22. I look forward to seeing them - I totally admire horses (from afar)!! I've just watched the Remembrance Sunday event at the cenotaph honoring our fallen soldiers and we've held our two minute silence in the house (compulsory) and I am now waiting for everybody to get ready so we can go to my mam & dad's.
