  1. Dried pasta is absolutely fine - I've actually bought forraging toys that contain dry pasta (cheeky swines - how cheap is that!!!). I'm surprised he does like eating it though - Harvey does exactly as you describe firstly - bites it and tosses it on the floor!
  2. If he is puffed up and sleeping this is not related to the toys - he would be wide awake and aware of the new alien items in his cage. Is he eating and drinking and pooping as usual? As Janet asks - if the cage wasn't totally dry he may have caught a chill. You would probably be best to get him to a vet for a quick check over - let us know how Buster gets on.
  3. I've never seen the video Jan - thanks for posting this. This African Grey Red bird (?) I am still of the opinion though, that unless for medical means and research then genetics should be left well alone. It is such a cutie pie though!
  4. Ha Ha Ha Ha! Absolutely superb Dave!!! I love it!! Karma coming your way for my biggest laugh of the day!!! :woohoo: It's a serious issue though - and I wouldn't want these snowmen to be without their snowballs! Switch off those Christmas lights!!!!<br><br>Post edited by: JillyBeanz, at: 2009/12/15 20:38
  5. Howardine - I am dreaming with you.......!
  6. judygram wrote: Oh but they did!!!! Mine is so naff it is unbelievable - it's in the dining room and I don't have to look at it so I make the minimal effort!!! And Talon, if I owned a house that size I wouldn't be fratinising with the likes of you lot - I'd be on some other website such as www.ihaveroyalbloodinme.com!! I can dream tho.........!!! :woohoo:
  7. Hi fresca - you say that your baby bites you when you spray him with a bottle - why don't you spray him whilst he's in the cage - then he can't get to you. He will go mad for a few moments, but they sharp calm down. Harvey hates the bottle and this is how I spray him with aloe - but he's fine for his usual showers in the bathroom. The easiest way to upload photos is through photobucket and this is an easy tutorial to follow: http://www.greyforums.net/forums/the-photography-room/89533-how-to-post-picturesphoto-tuturial.html looking forward to seeing some photos x
  8. Happy Hatchday Darwin - you are a little cutie for sure!
  9. I shall keep clicking Dave - thank you for this - what a great site. I am all for helping these poor animals xx
  10. Ha Ha! Especially when I told you how minimalistic I am etc yesterday!!!
  11. He was monkeying around? He wanted to pay to go in the elevator but they didn't take chimp and pin? The restaurant at the top served the best fish and chimps ever?
  12. # 3 public transport had
  13. Julie, the only reason we stay with Sky is because it is free - up here we have such terrible telephone lines that we get such a restricted service of less than one whatever the thing is!!
  14. Ha Ha! Like they are my Christmas trees! Mine is crap! I wouldn't show myself up!!1   If I had a hall that size - my butler would be communicating with you lot on my behalf!!!
  15. Goodness - I've never seen anything like this before - I've just googled it to find out more - it's other name is an "English Tomato". Well, being English and loving tomatoes I can't say I have EVER seen one!!! I don't think you can get them over here - but it looks like a mighty fine fid food! Thanks for sharing this
  16. Ha Ha! I posted the wrong one - that's the one in my living room - my apologies - this is the one in my hall:
  17. Hi Jenny - I get all my stuff from www.midlandparrots.co.uk I have also managed to get a 5% discount for forum members - quote MP 0010 at the checkout. If you get stuck you can ring a real person!!!
  18. Bernie - mine has been really slow tonight too - and work today was really bad (imagine the size of that server)! I think it is the whole of the UK downloading Geordie Joe's new song from iTunes!!!
  19. I would personally like to thank you Dave - I have followed Camilla, Gonzo and the three stooges right through and loved every minute. You don't have to let us into your bird's lives as you have done and I thank you very, very much for giving me the opportunity to watch them grow. I shall be sad to see them go to new homes - but perhaps you can let their new owners have them on the proviso that they join Grey Forums and keep us updated on "our babies". Thanks again Dave - I've loved every moment.
  20. lol - You're with Sky Julie - same as me!!! :woohoo:<br><br>Post edited by: JillyBeanz, at: 2009/12/14 19:52
  21. What a great thread! This is the one in our dining room:
  22. Talk Talk have been slated on Watchdog and other consumer programmes - here's a link that you might get kindred spirits' opinions: http://www.reviewcentre.com/reviews98376.html
  23. Right - at present Bernie is teasing Lyn and I with a "secret thread" he is starting "somewhere" on the forum. He's really building up his part - and I hope it's not a let down. We've tried to tell him that we are very good at keeping secrets - but to no avail - perhaps by the time you come on this evening it will all be clear :woohoo:
  24. Hi Abe and welcome to our family. You will find lots of interesting information and suggestions by other members who have "rescue" birds and "adopted" birds. It's great that you feel you can take on this bird, and in many ways it is a link with your father. It's great that you are feeling confident enough - little steps are definitely the way ahead. We like photos - so if you have any please post them.
  25. Harvey loves chips! It's okay to give them "junk food" now and then - Harvey loves chips (and a bit of the fish if you take the batter off - he doesn't like batter)! What's the old saying "A little bit of what you fancy"
