  1. Just checking they're all clean.
  2. You fibber Sn  A green lush meadow with beautiful wild flowers What do YOU think is there?
  3. 26  I get a mental block when I know time is limited...well that's my excuse and I sticking to it lol
  4. Of course. Doesn't everyone? I bet your face isn't that bad Supernova  Have you ever been so in love that you haven't even noticed the weather when you've been together?
  5. Ok thanks Dan-the-man lol
  6. I'm thinking of offering Beau an alternative food to the "superior parrot mix" he is on atm and I'd like to offer Harrisons pellets to see how he takes to it. Northen Parrots recommend the high potency mix for AG's. Is this what other members are giving their AG's or is the normal adult course more the the norm for your birds?
  7. Oh you poor thing. You must not blame yourself, you did what you were advised to do by someone who you thought knew best. I personally don't believe that your bird got Epilepsy because of her falling after being clipped. I believe she was probably destined to have Epilepsy from day one. Whatever the reason, yours is a good case for not clipping. I'm so so sorry to read about this sad story and I hope someone more knowledgeable than me can help you.
  8. No, I don't like the way the world is going. Things were so much simpler/people cared more than now. The future doesn't look too good to me. Do you like your job?
  9. No but I'd like a cleaner to help with the housework and maybe a gardener so I only had the garden to enjoy. How would you change your life (if at all) if you won a life-changing amount of money.
  10. Bet you are sooo excited, hell I'm excited for you
  11. Oh that is impressive Judy, I bet everyone made a fuss of those birds.
  12. There are loads of vids of these gorgeous birds on youtube including this one chattering away: For more vids on youtube just look under "hyacinth macaws" I have a facination for this endangered species. I hope you enjoy looking at them as much as I do.
  13. What a special moment for you. You have a very cute & clever birdy there.{Feel-good-000200BB}
  14. OMG yes that must have scared the pants off him, as you say it's probably in-built into birds - the fear of all cats, especially big wild ones. Their very survival depends on it.
  15. {Feel-good-000200BB} Excellent news! :woohoo:
  16. Ugh! I'll look forward to that...not!
  17. Ah, welcome Nancy. You will find all the answers you need on here and if you don't there are so many knowledgeable members who will be able to help you. Getting your own grey for the first time is a really exciting time and it seems you have plenty of time to get prepared for it. The time will go quite quickly and your baby will be with you before you know it. BTW You are quite right, this is by far the best AG forum.
  18. Hi Dusty, I've not had him DNA tested but I have a feeling he is male. Thanks for the replies folks
  19. Sounds promising. Don't worry I promise I wont be like a competative Mother lol. It is a fact though that most greys will talk - obviously there are exceptions but not many and I'm sure ours both will. I had non-talking tiels too but you cannot compare those with AG's. I hope we can keep it touch on here to our birds' progress - and help each other along the way with any problems we may encounter.
  20. Ah don't let her get to you. You need to prove people like that they are wrong. I used to work with two females who thought they knew it all and I just KNEW that they thought I wouldn't succeed at my new venture so I went out and proved them wrong! They gave me the incentive I needed to make a go of it. :woohoo:
  21. Hi JillyBeanz, Beau's hatch date was Jan 7th so a similar age to Harvey. The reason we chose beau over other CAG's we looked at was because he did seem to show signs of interaction and intelligance (oh dear, apologies for spelling ;-)) so I'm also of the belief that Beau will talk. He is already trying to imitate the pitch of our voices and sometimes I'd swear I catch the odd word but TBH I think that is more my imagination  anyway I guess a good indicator is with voice (pitch) changes because it shows he it trying to mimic. Actually it is more often than not your grey WILL talk especially if you are constantly talking to and around him.
  22. Oh he's only just 5 months old so just a baby.
  23. I was just wondering what Beau's latest behaviour means. A few times now whilst being made a fuss of or being stroked, Beau will pull lightly on mine/husband's finger whilst backing away and raising his wings and making "clucking" noises. It actually looks like it hurts but it doesn't. Does this mean anything or is Beau just playing?
