  1. Oh Lyn, absolutely brilliant! Great pictures and video of Alfie and the rest of your animals. We are also away next weekend Frid - Mon and we're taking Beau (mum & dad will be calling in on Argyle, I feel so bad not taking him but out car is too small for 2 travel cages on top of everything else, I did offer to leave Jordan but mum & dad were having none of it lol! Just kidding) with us, a few weeks back we took Beau away in his travel cage and he hated it, the travel cage and being away I think. Anyway I hope he handles it better this time as we are away longer. Anyway Alfie seems to have caught the travel bug even if it is just a hundred yards or so away lol!
  2. Beau's feet often feel cold to me
  3. Reputation button?? I think I must've been away when this was explained lol Ok ok I sussed it out lol
  4. Emma is such a pretty girl and obviously spoilt rotton. I love those super-cool toys of hers.
  5. That is amazing Janet! You see, no one knows of the trials and tribulations of the next person on here. Well Janet you are living proof that that particular piece of work was a success. I can't even begin to think where we would all be without your contributions and pearls of wisdom on here, you are a valued member Janet. xxx
  6. Jill is quite right Penny, 24 Celcius/Centigrade = 75.2 Farenheit. I think we changed to F when we went into the european union. We are usually blessed with temps between 70 & 80 on warm summer days, these temps make us but they can reach 90F on exceptionally hot days. Anything more than this is too hot for me lol
  7. Oh boy that is hot Jayd! Not sure if I could stick that kina heat but at least I guess humidity is low where you are, dry heat is better - for us humans anyway lol
  8. In the UK and now!! That means shower time for birdies!
  9. What a great video Stephen, it's just like the beginning of a love story, which of course it is
  10. Janet if he is a good footy player why haven't you told us about it? I wanna hear all about it! When's the next flight out? LOL
  11. Oh well that explains it then, you have an angel-grandchild Janet. Do you think maybe Jordan could spend a few weeks with your daughter & son-in-law? Maybe the good behaviour will rub off lol.
  12. LOL Jill. That is amazing Janet and yes, quite unusual, my guess is that Gabriel is a quiet, gentle child (yes I did say quiet and child in the same sentence!) and Ana Grey has decided to take a shine to him, lucky, lucky Gabriel - the chosen one, maybe he will be Ana Grey's parront one day - a very long time in the future hopefully ;-) Thanks for sharing this lovely pic Janet.
  13. Spock you are so clever, I'm beginning to win this particular battle with the humans in my life too, they have been tempting me into my cage with a treat but this has now increased to 2 treats and of my choice, if I fly away when shown a particular treat, they offer an alternative - Such suckers! Live long & prosper Spock, I bow to your superiority. Beau x
  14. I hope you had a lovely birthday Jess. Oh to be 20/21 again S I G H! No need to wait until you are 21, in the UK you only have to be 18 to drink alcohol, come on over here ;-)
  15. A good thing Argyle is in a seperate room then Dan. Thanks everyone for your input...yes you too Jay lmao xx
  16. Thanks everyone you are too kind with your comments Yes he's wearing grey but he plays in red & yellow - what bird has (only) those colours? LOL
  17. What great ideas Janet! Especially the Avon skin so soft! One benefit to having a cooler climate I guess is that we don't have such problems but very worrying for those that do. How about having window boxes filled with marigolds to try to keep them away from the house and lots of venus flytraps for those that do get in. I know a lot of houses (in places with mosquito problems) have netted shutters, if you don't have these then why not fit them or cover windows with netting. Even net curtaining or voils will surely help, we have voils on some of our windows and they also keep the birds from flying into them.
  18. Yes try the new vet, try anything! We love you Spock, get well soon xxx
  19. ...and some pictures of him in action at the cup final taken from his club's website. http://www.facebook.com/l.php?u=http%3A%2F%2Fwww.phoenixcityfc.com%2Fapps%2Fphotos%2Fphoto%3Fphotoid%3D81401017&h=41345 http://www.facebook.com/l.php?u=http%3A%2F%2Fwww.phoenixcityfc.com%2Fapps%2Fphotos%2Fphoto%3Fphotoid%3D81401042&h=41345 http://www.facebook.com/l.php?u=http%3A%2F%2Fwww.phoenixcityfc.com%2Fapps%2Fphotos%2Fphoto%3Fphotoid%3D81401027&h=41345 http://www.facebook.com/l.php?u=http%3A%2F%2Fwww.phoenixcityfc.com%2Fapps%2Fphotos%2Fphoto%3Fphotoid%3D81401032&h=41345
  20. (For those of you not added as friends on my facebook account) My son's football team reached the cup final this season finishing as runners-up, they also came very close to promotion. At the awards evening last Saturday Jordan was awarded as the manager's player of the season.
  21. Thanks everyone for your help. I do have a humidifier but as yet haven't felt the need to use it? Would it help? As for the other suggestions, I think I'm pretty much doing them all. I do suffer from hay fever and am allergic to household dust - fresh dust I seem to be ok with but if I dust something that hasn't been touched for a while - such as books or behind furniture then I get hay fever symptoms (not chest problems though) even in winter months. Jay, your post is quite scary!
