Yeah they didn't spend much time on the same perch. They were so cute together for a little bit I'm sure within time, the two will become friends. If not, no biggy! IT would be cool for Pepper to have a friend though lol, not sure if she cares about that or not.

other than when she was at the pet store. My parents just got a 6 month old grey a week or so ago, and we went there for dinner & of course brought Pepper with us. Well Pepper seemed to really like her at first. She kept regurgitating to the bird, and putting their beaks together which looked like kissing. However, after while Pepper wasn't so sure. She started going after my parents bird in a not so nice way. We separated them. Pepper was probably just not used to it obviously. Plus she likes being dominate and having all the attention;) Anywho here's a pic! I bet u can guess which is Pepper & p.s. Thanks everyone, again. I am definitely more cautious. I forgot to mention -- the day Pepper flew off and I was crying and yelling out for her...this lady told me she almost called the cops. She thought I was getting murdered. Lol, not funny at the time but now that I think about it... Just shows how distraught I was! Pepper has been home for exactly a week today and she seems back to normal, thankfully :silly:

Pepper is a year and 7 months old. She loves to hangout our laps, chest, and shoulders. Cuddling is one of her favorite things:) All I have to do is raise a little blanket and she comes running under, lol. She isnt particular with who she cuddles with either. She likes doing it with either my mom, dad, me, or my boyfriend.:kiss:

Actually what happened with me..was that there was a Timneh grey that I liked. I really thought he liked me too. But, the store sold him just 2 hours before I went in to put money down on him. I was devastated..so my bf tried to cheer me up by taking me to pet stores around the area. 1 hour to closing, we went to a big store around here and I asked her if she had any african greys. She told me she had 1 baby left. So we asked to see her. She came out with the grey in the towel squawking and I just fell in love. So we got her in Oct 2009 and spent 15+ hours each week with her, and got to take her home in Dec. I think it was definitely fate! I got an amazing bird....and wouldnt havent changed it for the world

Cute..Lol. It's still pretty cold here..but I want to get a harness when it gets warmer and try it on Pepper. Oh I already know its going to be extremely hard to get her to like it:laugh:

We are going tomorrow actually now instead of Sunday!! Wow!! I cant wait to see what Pepper thinks

Oh in no way am I forcing anything. I'm not going to put the two even next to each other unless Pepper decides to walk to her etc:)

Oh gosh too funny.. Just as I submitted this Pepper said "You want supper?" Ha ha!!

Does your bird say lunch, breakfast, dinner, supper, etc? And how does your bird act when it's time to eat? For Pepper..she says "Supper" and when she's really hungry she'll say it excessively. She gets really feisty around dinner time and she normally HAS to be on your shoulder while you are preparing food, or in the same room. If not she will just sit there and drive you crazy. One time my mom told Pepper "No supper" as a joke and she bit her! LOL:laugh:

I agree with what a bit of what everyone is saying. I would say they do love, but a different kind of love. The funny thing is, I know I love my bird more than she loves me. I think I need her more than she needs me. I love her so much and I would hate to be without her. But the relationship between me and the bird is special. [Even more special between her and my boyfriend;)] Whatever it is between us, i love it!

Plus, I have anxiety..which makes things ten times worse, Lol. My feelings don't get too hurt that she chose my boyfriend. I still treat her like a princess. and she isn't mean to me because she likes him more. We are taking her to my moms house with us this Sunday.....for dinner. She loves my moms cooking but they have their new grey there! It'll be Peppers first time around another bird outside of the pet store we got her from..yikes!

I dont transport Pepper too often, so I just bought something quick...and she hates it so much. I bet she would like that a lot better and she cant destroy it:P

Yeah, I've accepted that i'll only ever be 2nd best with her! Lol It's funny because I give her more attention, I'm the one who gives her food, etc but she still wants him

She caught herself a little bit but still hit it [Yes...kicking myself in the butt for having her wings clipped] So I just got bit twice, and almost got the eye...literally less than an inch. Shes not plucking her chest. Should she be okay? im worried!! She really wont let me pet her or she tries to bite me. And shes never like that.. *Edit Oh, she steps right up to my boyfriend LOL.
