Pepper will make a lot of calls either whining noises, or "PEPPERRRRRRRRRrr" whenever one of us is out of sight. Well not everytime, but most times. Lol if he really gets fed up he'll just come crawling into whatever room we are in. He mostly whines when my boyfriend is say in the shower, but even though I'll be sitting right next to Pepper he wants my bf . the whining will go on for up to id say 5 or 6 minutes. usually he'll calm down [ill give him food or something] or ill take him to my bf.

Some people use the spray bottle..i've even seen people sit their grey in a sink and wash it. But I personally let my grey sit on the top of the shower, then I will get him to step-up and put him under the running shower and wa la. He doesn't necessarily hate or love it, but I never get bitten because of it. Unless you try to pick him up immediately after the shower LOLL

Aww what a cutie!! =) My bird loves being upside down also. Especially when you play with him, he goes nuts for it. The only thing is though..definitely never try to pick him up or anything while he is upside down or you'll get a big bite haha

First Pepper bit me in the arm because I was putting his breakfast on his cage and when my arm was reaching he thought it was aggression lol or he didnt want my arm there. Second was at night when I was trying to bring him into the shower with Paul, because he kept whining! I went to get him to step up and he had my finger and didn't let go for a few seconds. My finger was throbbing and it still hurts. Anyways..Pepper made up for it! This morning he stepped up about 2 different times and regurgitated to me. Not only did he do that but he gave me love and rubbed his beak on my hands and also cleaned all my finger nails lol. He wanted some love back a few times, but mostly wanted to give ME love which I thought was very sweet. It's cute things like that, that make it hard to stay mad for getting bit lol. Anyways just random..im bored at work!

Loool. Pepper has only regurgitated to 5 different things: 1. Paul. 2. Me. 3. Missy (parents bird) 4. My digital camera 5. My toothbrush. LOL! What weird things does your bird regurgitate to? I mean today I broke out the camera and Pepper went nuts regurgitating to it and giving it love, and the same thing when I was brushing my teeth. Of course I got some regurgitating myself the day before..but its just too funny.

Pepper has been doing a high-pitch sound lately too and it drives me nuts!!!!! I was doing a timed exam the other day for college and he wouldn't stop. I kept saying "Stop, Stop Stop!!" lol I know that doesn't work but I like messing with him. 2 minutes later instead of that noise I hear "STOP!" Ha so Pepper picked up a new word!

Plus new pictures of my handsome bird lol:p. Anyways Pepper was sitting on the mirror by the window ( which he LOVES to do by the way!!! ) hes such a riot on there, but he flipped himself upside down and I cant explain how he was flipped but it was NOT good I didn't think. So while he was upside down I let him grab my finger and I swear I thought he was going to bite the ever living crap out of me. LOL. But he didnt! I remained calm and was like come on sweety, and was doing my best to help him. Phew, it was an intense few seconds. Normally when Pepper gets upside down he'll bite because a.) he thinks you're playing, b.) he wants to be a little poop head, or c.) he doesn't feel secure. So I got really lucky, yay me lol;) (he was reguirtating to me while I took pics of him) aww giving paul love

Pepper does this too lately. He rambles on and on and it sounds scary,OR like German or something.

Aw cute. Pepper likes to steal food off our plates. If we are not looking he will snag something. We always make him a plate though:)

Lol aww. This is off-topic but lately we've been noticing...Pepper calls us like a dog hahahaha. Last night my boyfriend was eating cucumbers and Pepper wanted some. SO he said "Come here" then whistled like my boyfriend does to the dog.

Awesome. Pepper is going through this too. He wants our 100% attention and wants to be with us. He is at a point where he'll crawl down his perch onto the floor, then crawl from the floor to us. LOL

Sometimes Pepper doesn't want to step up, because he doesn't feel like it or for whatever reason. Anyways the way I coax him is asking "Wanna take a shower?" LOL:p I can ask him other things wanna do this, want this blah blah but when I say the shower word he will step up 4 out of 5 times. So what about you?!

the guy who messaged me on facebook.. well, apparently it was his best friends. said they picked him up from animal control!! hope it really was.

hmm i posted it on the facebook of a popular radio station around here.. a guy just sent me a message on FB saying it might be his best friends parrot . i gave him the contact info. hope its his

man that sucks i really want this birds owner to be found!!!! i get sad thinking about it, because of went i went through w/ pepper:(

lol this has been one of his fav things to do since i can remember. now he wants to do it everytime we visit my moms, so i got a short little video last weekend he'll normally do that and say "woooooo"

Yea..sometimes I feel sad and bad for having a bird because he doesn't get to go out and fly around like the other birds. Pepper loves to sit at the window and watch the birds outside. It sucks, but they are so humanized now that it is not possible to survive in the wild. We give Pepper the best life that we can [which I think is pretty good] but I feel guilty sometimes that he has to live in a house.

Your bird is so sweet looking, reminds me of my parents bird. But I haven't gotten pooped in a loooong time so no special birdy shirts

I'm not fearful of the band, this lady came up to me out of nowhere and I didn't ask "someone" at the pet store. She was just rambling on and I posted on here to see what others though. I like Pepper having the band. If it ever became annoying I would have it removed, but Pepper hardly messes with it. I was simply seeing other peoples personal opinions.

we have a feather tether and there is no way i can get it on Pepper Sadly, I don't think he'll ever be able to wear one. He is terrified! I don't want to force him. is the aviator better?

Thanks for the replies everyone. I still don't feel comfortable with microchips. I don't think we are going to do it. But we are going to keep his band on [he doesn't really mess with it]. If in the future it seems to really annoy him I would get it taken off.
