I was driving this morning with Koko on board. As usual she was sitting on the co driver headrest. I drove past a few crows scavenging by the road side and I pointed out to Koko and said, "Koko, crows". To my surprise, Koko replied "argh, argh" mimicking the call of crow. I thought it might be a fluke shot, and I repeated once more time and she replied "argh, arg". Wow! I was very happy and gave her an A+.:cheer:

I always take my harness trained Grey on short distance car rides. She loves sitting on the head rest.

Why don't you guys try garbage enzymes? They are safe for humans and pets.

I believe $500 is for the carcass of a hyacinth. In my country it is sold for more than USD18K.

There is a pet shop near my area. They had a baby grey with a couple of baby conures. The grey mimicked the scream of the conures because he grew up with them. Kind of noisy. I wouldn't buy that grey.

What a great story. It would make a good movie. BTW isn't it a bit too late for your grey to sleep at 11pm? Mine goes to bed at 8:30pm latest.

My Grey has no problem with Aviator. Being a busybody, my Grey always help me to put that on her.

I bought a bottle of 1kg red palm oil for about $3 yesterday. BTW how much should I feed my Grey?

There are 2 types of Palm Oil in Malaysia. One is the normal yellow type cooking oil and the other is a red palm oil. The Red Palm Oil is made from the fruit. It is a hi quality oil which contains hi levels of carotenoids, tocopherols and tocotrienols. It cost only a few bucks for a small bottle. I haven't tried that on my parrots. My Grey is not a great eater of palm nut, I guess I should try the red palm oil.

Mine is around 430g.

I believe the nut is more nutritious than the oil.

Don't over feed your parrot with lychee. Over dose of lychee could kill a human because of its high sweetness (sugar).

This is the same type that I have.

I feed my grey with a little bit whey protein. Whey protein is lactose and fat free. The protein is more easily digest than casein. It is also rich in calcium.

I got rid my microwave oven more than a decade ago. I use conventional method in cooking. Microwaving destroys all nutrients in the food.

My Grey starts to talk too. Besides Hello, she says Ki Ki instead of Kiss Kiss on command. I guess she doesn't know how to pronounce the 's' yet. She has been mimicking the call of crow recently.

My Grey has never get back in the cage on her own. I have to take her in all the time.

Greys look more beautiful in the wild.
