My grey doesn't like kaytee pellets but she loves hagen's. My Grey is not a sunflower seed eater but she loves the sprouted ones. sprouted seeds have better nutritional value.
My CAG is bonded to 3 of us, my wife, daughter and myself. At certain times she may bite my daughter due to rough handling.
According to an acquaintance, his CAG is bonded to him only. He bites the rest of the family members. I guess it depends on the personality of individual bird.
My 7 month old Grey is not clipped and I have no intention to have her wings clipped. She can now fly to safety before hitting the floor from a fall. I had a nightmare when she hit the floor from a fall about 2 months ago. She is more confident now and enjoying her morning and evening flying exercise in the house.
My Grey hasn't talked yet. Her favorite chattering sounds were kookookoo.... and kookookatkat.
She always answered me with 'milk' when I called or talked to her.
There was a night I found her 'talking' to a lizard for about 15 minutes.
Initially Koko didn't like the harness. She bit the harness whenever I put it on her. She gets used to it pretty fast. She now knows how to bow her head down for me to put the harness over her head and has stopped biting the harness when we were out walking.
So far she has flown twice with the flightline attached.
I no longer fear that my CAG would fly away. The harness is very safe.
I have just bought a harness for Koko. I hope Koko could learn to fly out door, of course with the harness on. She fell twice to the ground with the harness on when I took her out. She was not used to it yet.
