I don't have a big cage for my Grey. My Grey spends most of the time out of cage, sometimes up to 10 hours. She gets plenty of exercise by flying around in the house.

My Grey had mites when I first brought her home. I bought BIRD BATH, a Hagen product. After a couple of sprays within 2 weeks, it managed to get rid the mites.

My Grey loves going outdoor with the harness on. When I showed her the harness and said "walk, walk", she'd fly to the stand for me to put the harness on. There's no way the harness would fail unless it's damaged by your birdie. I don't see any dangers wearing the harness. In fact, the harness provides safety the our parrots outdoor. The parrots definitely enjoy the out of cage freedom when they are outdoor.B)

I don't see my grey eating the fish meat that I feed her. She would chew and threw them away.

My Grey was afraid of my rooms when I first brought her there. After a few visits, she got used to them and felt more secure. She is looking forward coming with us to our rooms now.

Nice video. There are many mynahs sold in my country. Normally the shop owners wouldn't sell the good talking ones.

My sis in law came over to my house when we were out of town for 4 days. My sis in law had no experience in taking care of parrot but she and Koko got along very well.

At one stage, my grey dislike my daughter. My daughter suffered many bites from Koko. But now we are one happy family.

Grey was last on my list coz it's the least colorful. I wanted an Amazon but my wife said green is so common and boring. She fell in love when she saw Grey for the fist time. She said Grey has beautiful feathers and the colors are unique.

My Blue Rumps and Blue Crown parrots can't get along with one another in spite of staying together in the same cage for more than 1/2 a year.

My Grey doesn't like her toys. I bought her some drift woods to chew but she prefers our belongings such as laptop, files, drinking bottles, pens and anything she can find in the house. She likes to perch on the curtain frame, that's the highest spot in the house and she knows where the wires are. I'll put her back in the cage when she is out of control. I have no intention having her wings clipped. I enjoy when my Grey flies to me and I hate taking that freedom away.

My wife was at the market yesterday buying some sweet potatoes for Koko. She was selecting some good ones (slightly more expensive) and told the seller they were for her bird. The seller disagreed on feeding Koko with expensive sweet potatoes. My wife told that seller Koko was an expensive bird and started telling stories about Koko. The seller was so impressed and gave 2 more sweet potatoes (FOC) for Koko to eat. B) I used to buy Nasi Lemak (our local food consisting of rice cooked with coconut milk, fried anchovies, peanuts, egg and chillies)from a stall nearby my house for breakfast. The seller always give me a big pack. My wife always get a smaller pack when she buys from him. I told my wife she should bring Koko along to get a bigger pack. The next day my wife mentioned about Koko and I to him and she got a bigger pack for the same price. Koko does have an advantage to get some bonuses.

My grey too was frightened of new perches that I bought. Just keep it somewhere your grey can see and in a short time he will get use to it.

I had a small gathering at my office yesterday. There were 4 of us. A friend brought his doggie, an American Cocker Spaniel. Instead of the doggie, Koko growled at the Cocker Spaniel.:laugh: It didn't take long for Koko to accept the doggie is not a threat. Koko had a good time socializing with my friends.

Let us know who is a better 'barker'.:laugh:

Koko loves to bite the cable TV wire behind our sliding door's curtain. She would go for the wire whenever she was on the curtain frame. Being too short to reach Koko, my wife had to use a feather duster to shoo Koko away from chewing on the wire. Every time my wife did that, Koko would fly on my wife's head or shoulder, bombed then flew away. This makes my wife real MAD.:evil: What a vengeful bird.:angry:

Does Harley chew on the harness?

My Grey too is very quiet when we are out. I guess it could be the shy characteristic of a Grey.
