  1. My three are good about me getting into their cages. From the beginning I have always just done as I wanted with the inside of their cages while they were in it. Both greys step up without a problem. Now Louie, he will not step up no matter where he is except if he is on the floor.
  2. Can't wait to hear how the move goes. What Dayo does and says can be very interesting I'm assuming.
  3. Happy Hatchday Luna! Have a wonderful day!
  4. Hi Tinkertonker and Bill. Wow Bill is certainly a mature grey. Looking forward to learning more about him! Welcome to the Grey family!
  5. Oh how true. Sterling Gris has many tones of voice and since I live alone, they are all mine. Oh dear.
  6. They do certainly say what they want, when they want. Sterling Gris can repeat a phrase immediately and other times not a word. Picky little boogers our greys.
  7. Welcome Benitta and Asal. Looking forward to seeing some pictures.
  8. Welcome Cassie and Willow. Great advice about a vet visit. It will certainly answers the itching problem, hopefully. Looking forward to hearing more about Willow.
  9. You have a big heart about finding homes for these sweet parrots. It has to be your destiny and I commend you.
  10. Happy Hatchday Biscotti! Looking forward to hearing more about you as time goes on! And remember, it's your Hatchday, you can do whatever you want!!
  11. Congratulations to Storm. That's wonderful news!
  12. This is an easy call. Your grey loves to be sprayed. My greys love to be sprayed also. They open their feathers like your grey is doing and I can soak them to the skin. My CAG also loves to have me spray into his mouth so I do, but I use only cold water and some aloe vera juice so its okay. My greys love to sit on the top of their playtop cages when sprayed. Wings spread fully open and getting totally wet.
  13. What a gorgeous picture! Thanks for sharing!
  14. As I understand this, you work at this pet shop and you are leaning toward the female. I am assuming then that you have the ability to spend some time with this little lady and therefore see if she likes you also. Perhaps you could take this grey home and see if you two are compatible and see if the plucking lessens. Frankly I find that if you want a certain pet you know so almost instantly so if you have any doubts, I would just not choose neither and pass until I find the grey I really want. Greys live a long time so, I would want to be certain that I am giving a re-homed grey final forever home.
  15. It is hard to part with a companion you have loved. I know from experience that sometimes it is best for your companion to have a more compatible home. Kudos to you for loving your grey even to try and find him a home he can thrive in.
  16. It is amazing how well our greys can feel our moods and emotions. Given the chance, they so have a heart of gold. Alfie is a joy to hear about.
  17. OOps, good thing we have a teacher on the Forums! Thanks for the correction Jeff! I saw this: "The brown recluse is very soft bodied. It is easily preyed upon and has been observed being eaten by crickets and even other small spiders." And figure a person would rather get some crickets instead of other spiders. I look forward to your research as now I am curious.
  18. You need to look on Facebook... Everything Birds I believe is where you can find oodles of these little poster.
  19. I believe the cricket is a natural enemy to the Brown Recluse spider.
  20. Looking forward to hearing morel about your new grey when he/she is finally yours!

    Willie

Thanks for letting us get to know Willie. We get so attached to our companions and it is hard to think about not having them around anymore. Here's hoping Willie has many more healthy years with you and your wife.
  22. HI fastcar911, so what is your TAG's name. When you get a chance, we would love to see some pictures. Welcome to the Grey Family!
  23. Chellarella, a little more information would help. Is this grey a CAG or TAG and is he flighted or clipped. Details please.
