Emma is a great name for your new companion. Since she is a talker, if there is another name she prefers, she will let you know. Two of my parrots know who them are and do not fail to remind me that, Sterling and Louie are around. You should just relax and let Emma slowly show you what she wants. As for showers/baths a little experimenting is at hand. Looking forward to reading more and seeing how Emma grows in her new home.

Very smart to wait Eileen until you get some answers to your questions about your new oven/stove. There are stories out there about family birds dying when exposed to the fume of new ovens. I hope the answers come soon. Kudos for your patience and forethought.

You could try singing back at him. If one of my three makes noises I don't like, I sing back. Shuts the culprit up right away. Or perhaps a radio on might help.

Hi Stephan, welcome to the Grey family. I have two greys and a zon. I live alone so my flock is bonded to me. However there are other members of the family/neighborhood that each of them likes and interacts with. However, my parrots choose whom they will like and be with. Your family needs to relax and let nature take its course. My gang love pistachios and anyone with a handful is sure to have a parrot or two on their shoulder/arm of their chair. As Judy said, let your parrot make up her own mind and everyone just relax.

I have three parrots, live alone and am retired. Frankly, my three are out a lot. They are flighted and go from room to room as they choose. They have perches, boings and toys all over my home. They do not care to be with me all the time. Like everyone, they like their alone time where they play and eat as they choose. As long as they have some time with their human flock, I find that my parrots are happy.

Am glad Escher is good toward your computer. My Ana Grey eats the keys on my keyboard so my parrots are ban from my office. Also my canary lives in my office and Ana Grey would have him for lunch.

I have tried that several times. He knows what a camera is and imitates a clam very well.

Ahh ha! That's the way of the Grey. My Sterling Gris is a great talking but bring out the camera and he is has quiet as a mouse. Luv those greys!

Hi Rick and Cosmos. Welcome to the Grey family. If you have any pictures of Cosmos, we would love to see them.

My oldest daughter is allergic to many things and has to take shots for some. When she gets a new animal, she goes to visit the kennel, etc. to see if she is allergic to that particular cat/dog, etc. It seems not all dogs/cats, etc. give off certain dander or whatever she is allergic to. I suggest that you visit the grey you are interested in a few times to see if you are allergic to that particular grey or not.
