Ana Grey goes up high to avoid being returned to her cage. I believe it is a safety or avoidance thing rather than dominance.

Fruits make the poops watery, especially grapes which are very liquidy.

Where exactly was this grey found?? What state, city?

Have you placed an ad in the local newspaper where this grey was found? And have you checked the local papers for a lost ad? If this grey was loved, I would think the owner would be looking for his sweet grey.

Being consistent and persistent is the only way. If Ana Grey does something I dislike I tell her "no" and shoo her off. I don't bribe her and I don't make a big deal out of it as they so love the attention. Evidently, if you are consistent perhaps your grey will get the hint and stay off your cabinets. But as Penny says move the "good stuff" as it is a game of who is more persistent you or your grey.

I normally hand wash my birds' water and food bowls with dishwashing detergent daily and at least once a week pop them in the dishwasher for a real hot washing.

The raw pumpkin seeds are also alright.

I feed raw vegetables to my parrots at least once a week. Pumpkin is a squash so I see nothing wrong with it. Looking on the internet I see it is okay. No one cooks their veggies in the wild so I have always fed ffresh clean raw, squash, cucumbers, peas, radishes, carrots, and other fresh veggies to my fids.

Jay is it not true that stress lines on feathers are also black? Not to be confused with fungi.

I guess the only way to find your answers are to read the many threads in this forum and make your own judgment. As it is true each grey is different and trust is the real determining factor. Good luck on your quest.

Very sweet update on Kopi. The trust is growing stronger day by day. You are a great and patient parront and Kopi is very lucky to have you.

I have a Timneh and she is bonded to me as I live alone. She does have her "other favorites" so to speak. My oldest grandson, 21, is her love. As soon as he comes in the door she seeks him out for a pecan nut. He and she have a little game, he taps somewhere and she comes, he taps again an she goes there, eventually she gets a pecan. Tony doesn't talk to Ana Grey but she talks to him, "want some" she says and he gives her a nut. She will also fly to his shoulder. Now my 10-year-old grandson, is also a favorite of hers, she will fly to Gabriel and he doesn't have to do a darn thing. I guess Ana Grey has a thing for guys which is fine with me as I am hoping one of these two grandsons will be her new parront someday in the future. She is also fearless.

Jingles, my fids could care less about those old dead feathers also!!!! I do get a variety of pretty feathers though with an zon and an ekkie!!!!
