I have an older ekkie with a leg that bothers him. I have a bendable rope perch in his cage that he seems to favor. Perhaps a rope perch the appropriate size for Cody might help him steady himself.

Hi Munch, your Took must be a little cutie. My grey loves to look out the window during the day also. I just have to be careful that the sun doesn't shine on her all day or she would get too hot. If Ana Grey has a little sunlight and lots of shade and water she is always a happy little fid. I look forward to hearing more about Took and seeing some pictures if you have any you would like to share.

My grey is microchipped and it gives me peace of mind to know that I can reclaim her if she is lost or stolen. The chip has never been bothersome to her and she has had it for over a year. For the peace of mind I have, it was well worth the cost and I would to it again.

I use a very fine mist with my fids, one of those beauty shop misters. I spray from below my fids and they fluff up to take in the water. Ana Grey will even turn in a circle for me. All you can do is keep trying until your birds accept the inevitable shower/bath!!!!

Well, I am in the good old USA in the Evergreen State. Where the grass is green and everyone has webbed feet!!!! I can be in the mountains in three hours and at the Pacific Ocean in another three. Where the mountains erupt and the ocean roars!!!!!

I have a timneh, Ana Grey 2 1/2 years old, whom I have had since she was 4 months old. I live alone and she is very comfortable with me as I can do just about anything with her. Of all my family, she prefers my two grandsons, one is 21 and one is 11. So I believe it doesn't matter male or female, it is the "vibe" an animal gets from a person as to rather an animal prefers one person over the other and has nothing to do with gender.
