Very nice update n your sweet grey. As I understand it, the red tears are due to the vet visit not the new cage, if this is so, leave your sweet grey in his new cage as he seems he is enjoying all the extra space. Although your grey is 8 years old, he seems to be doing just fine with his new parront and family. So enjoy him and take things at his pace and on his terms, nice and slow.

Sully has been rehomed. He is an older ekkie that prefers to live as an only parrot. I have given him to a young man who lives next door. Sully is happy and well loved by that family. There are threads throughout the forum about my zon, my cag and my tag. Louie, the zon, in the Amazon Room. Sterling Gris, my CAG, in the nursery, and Ana Grey, TAG, in the Grey Lounge. I am not shy about showing off my little flock!

I read the above referenced book and the story is great. If the movie is anything like the book it will be fantastic!!!! I can't wait to see it.

My Ana Grey isn't much of a toy player. My zon is a wood toy chewer, he is very active and plays with all the toys very roughly. My CAG is a rather large guy and plays some. I purchased 4 of the toys, two large and two medium. I plan to put a large toy in each of Louie, the zon, and my CAG's cages. Ana Grey will get a medium toy as she likes to forage for food. The other medium toy, I will hang in the living room to keep the three busy. That's the plan for now, it may change when I see who likes the toy and who ignores it and will adjust accordingly.

Did you make these toys??? I have purchased some for my birdies. Will let you know how they like them.

What we don't get the name of this Great Bird Store!!!! Honestly, this sounds like fun Talon. Let's see to New Jersey from Washington State that's 2799 miles in driving distance or 1 day 21 hours to meet you there!!!! I am envious and can't wait to hear about the bird store. I use a spray bottle I got from the beauty salon. It has a very fine spray. I spray my three parrots upward never full face. They enjoy their showers and open their feathers and spread their wings. Perhaps a fine spray might help.

Hi Brendon, I can already tell that you are going to be a loving and caring parront. TAGs, to me, are much more easy going than CAGs, so good choice of greys. I would give the traveling with your grey a chance. Or course, it is true that it all depends on the grey, but if you start a young grey traveling, I see no problems. Start with short trips and always explain what is going on to your grey. Greys are very intuitive and quick learners so if you explain things, are calm and reassuring all should be fine. Mine travel to my daughter's occasionally and they love it. There is one member here who sometimes takes her grey to work with her. It all depends on your attitude and comfortable as that is what your grey will be reading and sensing.

Unfortunately a band can be removed and if you keep a removed band in your desk drawer what is to say it is from the bird found even if the bird is yours???? You really can't prove it. It is true, honesty is a personal thing between a person and his/her conscience. I do know that in my state if a person has acquired/found a micro-chipped animal it is considered a crime to keep it if an honest effort to find the proper owner is not tried and such thievery can be punishable in the courts. I suppose that is why there are occasionally ads in the Lost and Found reading like this, ''Dog/cat/bird found in the vicinity of blank and blank, call to identify" without a proper description and placed by people who really want to keep a found animal.

Great bath time pictures of Nilah!!!! I love to give my zon a shower, he so loves it and spreads his wings like Nilah is in her pictures!!!!! Zons are definitely water babies!!!! Thanks Talonsis, great photography!!!

One grey is from the State of Washington. Another from the State of Oregon. I purchased my greys from private breeders who raised their greys "at home" and sold them personally to new parronts which they screened according to their personal standards. Quite legal here in my part of the country.
