  1. Hi Zandra what a wonderful introduction to you, Charlie and Lucy. I am looking forward to hearing more! Welcome to the Grey Family!!
  2. Ahh yes, the barking dog. Love it!!!! My parrots love to bark especially my Ana Grey. My pug always barks when she want to go outside. Lily stands in front of the patio door and barks. I go in the kitchen and let her out. Well Ana Grey has also gone to the plant stand I have in the kitchen and barks. Many times I have gone into the kitchen to let "her" out. Little stinker. Love the things you have taught your fids to do Bianca. Ana Grey will shake hands upon request and Louie, the zon, will go into his cage upon request but that is all I have accomplished.
  3. I truly enjoyed watching this video! So happy for Missy who has found a loving forever home!
  4. Enough of the clipping/non-clipping debate. There are threads in the Health Room to address these. It is quite apparent that Koekie is a very responsible parront and frankly knows what she is doing with her healthy and well loved fids. So let it go. Koekie, I look forward to watching your videos and watching your flock. So very happy you are now part of the Grey Family!!
  5. Hi aerial.2000! Welcome to the Grey Family!

  6. Thanks all. I always let Louie come to me. He is an amazon after all. It has to be his idea for things to work out well. Amazon are of a much different character than a grey.
  7. I will say, your pink poohie is rather cute!!! LOL!!!!
  8. Oh Nilah, you are such a stylish little lady sitting by the tangerine orange chain, vocally trying to point your parront in the right direction! The new 2012 color of the year! What a color conscience lady you are! Oh a different note, I never knew change affected our zons so much. Very enlightening I must say!
  9. I'm sorry but that is just too funny. Obvious your parrots know the "in" color for 2012 is Tangerine Tango and certainly not pink! Heh, heh, heh!
  10. Have you tried hemp seed. My next door neighbor has an older male eclectus who has plucked for years and since giving hemp seed to him, he has been regrowing his feathers. I understand that a cockatoo that a friend of theirs has is also on the hemp seed regime and is doing nicely with stopping plucking. I think it is worth checking out on the internet.
  11. My Ana Grey is now 3 1/2 years old. She weighs in at 305g. My CAG, Sterling Gris, 10 months old, weighs in at 505g. I have never measured their length. My greys are fully flighted and fly all day long throughout the house. Your grey looks very healthy, Bianca.
  12. Always enjoy Dayo. He plays like my zon, Louie! Such energy and determination!
  13. Have a wonderful New Year Penny. You are a great administrator and we are lucky to have you watching over us. Thank you for your time and efforts.

  14. Try looking in http://www.avianbiotech.com/Breeders/Breeders.asp. They list all different parrot breeders.
  15. Awwww, thank you Penny, you really know how to bring tears to a lady who truly loves her little Zon Man!!!
  16. Thanks all for your encouraging words. Louie is a real joy to have around. I can't wait for the day he and I are true friends!!
  17. It is true Penny, that Louie did bite me. But, he does not really bite all that hard; certainly not like he did in the beginning. In the beginning he used the tip of his beak, he no longer bites me that way. His bite looks mean yes, but not very hurtful. I believe the reason he flew off was because I moved my fingers. If I had left my fingers still, he would have not flown away. We have worked hard to be trust each other and I know he will some day, perhaps very soon he will be ready to really trust me. You read my Louie very well Penny. In his heart he so wants to trust me and be close to me. It is hard to be patient and wait.
  18. This is for Talon, so that she knows that Nilah is not the only amazon biter. Please note however, that for the first time Louie stepped up for me. For that, I am thrilled!!!!
  19. Loved seeing Koekie on the lawn. I would be afraid I would forget to keep my birdie's wings clipped and that my Ana Grey would then fly away. She is so independent. Love those TAGs.
  20. I finally got a video of Louie speaking Hindi. I don't understand a word he is saying so if anyone can understand Louie, please let me know. That's Sterling Gris, my 10-month-old CAG, making sounds in the background. "]
  21. Have you tried turning on some music to entertain the little tyke Perhaps some toys especially bells and such. Something to distract him.
  22. Oh I am so jealous!!! What great stuff!!! We on the NW coast are sooooo deprived!!! But I would have wanted one of those sun conure cuties, so it's a good thing I didn't go!!!
  23. Love it Judy!!!!! Thanks for the thread!!!
  24. Happy Hatchday Beau. You and your parront are much missed! Come on Julie, you can find time for your old friends once in a while!!!! Thanks for the shout out for Beau Judy!!!
