I thought this was cute and I was excited:) ZZero is not really inlove with my hubby he tollerates him, will take treats from and even land on him if hes got somthing he wants but if Jim tries to approach him no go he flys away. Well I have been doing stuff to try and get them together, Jim was sick in bed with the cold I just got over and I brought ZZero in to say hi while I got ready to go out. I left him there thinking he would perch at the end of the bed but when I came in he was cuddled up under Jims chin on one foot sleeping!! I was amazed and thought he knows hes sick and just wanted to make him feel better it was so cute and made me so happy !

Congrats Pat I just love these updates. I have shown Gismos pics to my hubby from the beginning he said "wow what a difference but you can sure tell it the same bird his sweetnees shines through." He thought he looked so sweet even in his first pics and he knew he was gonna be a great bird. I thought this was a great perception cause poor Gismo looked so scared to me in the first pics but now he is just beautiful and sweet ) Again you are a angel!! karma to you !

CORN CORN CORN I feel terrible when its his corn days off ( i dont give everyday ) He also love pastas and whole grain toasted bread these will always get his attention. He eats his meals in his cage and I can quickly tell if its like or dislike by his whining or if he really likes it he sings to it the whole time he eats.

Great topic Talon ZZero had a rough night somthing on my oven went wrong and it beebed beebed for a few hours till I found it at 4 am he was tired today took a 3 hour nap !! I felt so guilty I just babied him all day and he rewarded me with saying "ZZero ZZero" several times clear Now we just had dinner and gonna watch Heroes together

When ZZero first came home he was also weened but I read they liked warm bellies at bed time. I began to spoon feed him babyfood and we did it in the morning and evening this lasted about 2 weeks and he refused anymore. You said you didnt know if its the right thing to do it wont hurt your baby they will refuse eventually and I think it helps with bonding. Dont push the shower just yet. The way I started misting,ZZero and I played peekabboo around his cage with the squirt bottle he thought it was so fun everytime I popped my head up I would mist him. With a spray bottle mist above his head let it fall gently on him dont squirt right at him. Just Ideas that worked for me. Also toys you have to show him how to play with them ZZero really only loves his foot toys but now at 6 months hes has really liked the hanging ones but only to beat up for a few. He loses interest quik also just keep trying. 1 more idea... We are all sick{Feel-bad-00020068} I ma on my 5th day and ZZero has been so great he stayed snuggled in bed with me for 2 full days and has been on his best behavior. Hope you all feel better soon!

I am truley a animal person I have had horses,chickens cats and dogs but from a very young age I was inlove with birds. I have told my story before but wild birds would come to me in very wierd perdicaments many healthy but also many who needed my help. I have a ongoing relationship with the wildlife center here in my valley cause I have handed them almost 10 different wild birds that came to me for help.Somthing I cant explain but they seek me out. I owned my first grey when I was 16 I spent the money granny helped me save for a car and got TOGO instead well I got older and went to college my aunt took him to watch for me till I got home they bonded and I couldnt split them up so I visit alot. I waited and waited till I was married and settled and knew for sure my situation was secure and one day I decided I was ready. I knew all along all I wanted was a grey they are truley companions and so smart. I just didnt even consider anything else now of course I want one of everything but that will have to wait awhile but someday !!
