I spoke to my vet about this a while ago.My tiel had heavy metal poisoning,thank god he recovered but I am very cautious what they now play with. He sounds a little brighter,playing has got to be a good thing.

He is gorgious.Caiques are very playfull social little birds,I am sure given time this one will be no different.

Yes they are all individual.Charlie also loves carrots and lychee.

Charlie just loves toast,Cracker just loves food full stop. He almost grabs the food dishes as they are being put in his cage.He does not come up for air if I give him Birdy Banquet.

How old is Sully.Young grey tiels look like girls untill around 9 months or so and have a molt.It does sound like male behaviour you discribe but all are individuals.I would need a photo to be sure. Female tiels are usually quieter,less vocal and the males are very vocal and lively,strutting along a perch and it is said the females dont talk.My old female never talked but both the males did,very well infact.

Yes we could do with more vets like that.Ones that seem to go above and beyond.

He even took Cracker home with him of a night so he could inject him and keep an eye on him. I have confidence your vet will do his best for Eli.

I think this thread needs a bit of reviving so hear goes. Today I have been catching up o the house work while the sun is out and I can get the birds outside.It has bee a really nice day. The cages have bee cleaned, house tidied and I am preparing myself for my nephews little babys christening tomorrow. I am really looking forward to it. Monday will be frantic.As some of you know my mum is undergoing cancer treatment and on Monday morning I am taking her over to Clatterbridge hospital on the Wirrel for a plan of her radiotherapy treatment which is starting a week later.She is recovering well from the opperation and I am so proud of her. I am then going in to work on lates. So Monday is a busy day.Poor birds wont get much time spent on them but its only one day. I hope everyone is enjoying the weekend and look forward to hearing what you have all been up to. Sheila

That looks just perfect.I have a wingabago carrier for Charlie but I dont use it as a sleep cage.

Charlie like most greys knows what he wants and how to get it.Ignore the behaviour at all cost but do ensure he gets plenty of atention and out of cage time,im sure you do anyway.I must say Charlie has me very well trained .

I dont think you will have too many problems with bonding.I think you will need seperate cages as they get older though. I would not like brood mates to mate.
