1. How terribly sad if that is what happened. I'm choking up just reading about it.
2. Don't worry She, Tiggs is on his way to YOU!!!
3. Planet of the Apes? (bit of a guess) "There are hearts breaking wide open all over the world tonight."
4. What a beauty Mika is! Thanks for sharing these great photos with us! x
5. Hi Zzzelama, Welcome to the forum! Lyn & Alfie x
6. This IS a good thread! It's amazing how these birds can 'steer' their humans wherever they like!!
7. I don't know why, but emails such as these, which are believed by some to be hoaxes themselves, are simply designed and sent to overload servers and make them crash. The last time I responded to an alert like this, I forwarded the warning to every one in my contacts list and a friend brought my attention to this website http://www.hoax-slayer.com/mail-server-report-hoax.shtml x
8. Alfie is most definitely allowed on our shoulder, her alter ego, Sid, is most definitley not! We used to joke that she had a split personality, and the other one was calle Sid! When Sid is out, she doesn't get on shoulders. I'm pleased to say we haven't seen Sid for yonks!! And Alfie doesn't touch our jewellery!! Although I don't temp her with dangley ones!
9. We were out for a walk this summer with the girls (2 dogs and Alfie!). We have a whistle for the dogs but don't often use it (because our dogs are soooo well behaved! !) We had decided to take it with us on this day because Tia was going through a deaf phase! Alfie was on my shoulder, the dogs were way ahead out of sight so David used the whistle. Within a split second Alfie had echoed it. It was so perfect I thought David had whistled twice! She had never heard the whistle before. It was ages till we heard her using it again! They're a bunch of smarty pants, these greys! x
10. Hi Greg, I'm so relieved to hear Lily is well on the mend - I imagine you have been beside yourself! Karma to you for being on the ball and noticing her illness quickly - it's well documented that greys will hide their illness, so for her to show signs to you indicates she must feel very secure with you! Take care both of you Lyn & Alfie x

Post edited by: pearllyn, at: 2009/10/22 12:13

13. Lol! Hello Jingles. Yes, Alfie definitely does 'the lean'! Especially when she see's something she wants! She just leans as hard and as far as she can, trying to steer my hand!! It very often gets her to where she wants to be!! Lyn & Alfie x
14. P.s. Love your new signature - very glitzy! x
15. Hahahahahaaa- {Feel-good-0002006E} Smashing! I'm trying to teach Alf to use a tissue before she flies to shoulder. She's not gitting it!! x

17. Lol Fendana - Welcome to the forum! Funny post! And what a great name for your bird! I would smile every time I said it! I know where your coming from with his hairdressing skills - Alfie actually CUT my hair last night! Now I have a bit that looks like a fringe round the side of my head! Welcome to the club, and we look forward to hearing more from you and Squonk! Lyn & Alfie x
18. Goodnes what a fright - I'll bet you moved fast! Is it not possible, if he's not very good at landing, that he crashed into the flap rather than tried to climb out? Either way - yikes! thanks for sharing. x
19. Lol dan - I got that! It was the real human hair bit that gave it away! At first i thought "eeeewwwww" but then it dawned on me!!!!
20. Haha! Cute! I like it! Technology is fine when it's behaving!! x
21. Lol Jilly - love the shorts! Alfie doesn't like it when I blow on her, although I just do it gently so maybe it's too tickley? I'll have to try blowing harder. x
