  2. Here's another of my favourites. x
  3. Yes Dee, you're right! 5 months is more than enough time to become attached!! Knowing they will be going to caring homes tho has to help!
  4. Well Dee! We're halfway through the final week before the day that will change your life forever!! How far up the excitment scale are you now?! Only 3 more sleeps to go! :woohoo: x

  9. Alfie often tries to pinch the dogs chews, i never let her as i wasn't sure! She'll be dead chuffed when I let her get it the next time!! Thanks for posting this Sheila! x
  10. Hay folks! Just been trawling YouTube lately and found this video of a cockatoo dancing! Are they really dancing or does the music annoy them? I think it looks dead funny! I just thought if anybody else had found a video they reallly liked, they could post it here and share it!! Hope you and yours are all well. Lyn & Alfie. xx
  11. Sorry to hear your having this trouble Penny, Hopefully it is a hormone phaze and it will pass. Alfie started to attack curtains she's lived peacefully with all her life, about a month ago, and two weeks later the tops are shredded! Now I use the scary socks method and it really works! Good luck with getting past it Penny! x
  12. You're most welcome Talon - She gives us miles of smiles by the minute - we don't mind sharing at all!! xx
  13. I just found this thread under your "popular posts by"! She is such a character Dee, you can see it in all these pictures!! x
  14. Hi Domyoburk, I'm sorry to hear of the feather trouble you were having, but glad you are getting on top of it! I am very surprised to hear you think it was the pellets causing it! I have been through the same thing with my 20 month old CAG, but from the other end - she was on seed, and now I'm trying to convert her to the Harrisons pellets (on vets suggestion)! Whatever the reason, so long as we have happy healthy birds at the end, that's the main thing!! x
  15. Well, she is a beauty. As for her strange behaviour, just let her settle in, then you'll get to meet the real Maya (pretty name). My Alfie is almost 2yo, and she can be sitting snuggling one minute, and then she's off the next! Thanks for the photo! x
  16. Debandbella wrote: Lol! It really was just a lucky shot! Usually when she see's a camera, she attacks it! I have to snap her while she is busy doing something!! Still, I'd rather have happy accidents than not!! x
  17. Hi Turp, Welcome to the Forum. I would say it's still very early days for your grey - what's her name?, Just give her some time and space to settle in to her new home, don't force anything with her, she may resent you for it. There are some very knowlegable members on here who will give you some excellent advice, but I would say for the time being, just be patient and let her come to you. Is she your first grey? We like pictures here, so if you have a chance to upload some photos, we'd love to see them! Any questions, just ask! Lyn & Alfie x
  18. Thanks Bernie, but I stil haven't figured out how to get a moving one yet! I love this pic tho so it'll do nicely for now! x

  21. Lol Jill, no it's not a common sight! We had Alfie out in seahouses earlier this year. I met a bunch of kids and they asked if that was a pigeon on my shoulder, and when I said no she's a parrot, one of them piped up, and this kid must have only be 7 or 8, (with a seahouses accent!) " A parrot? In Seahooses? That's not something you see every day!" It was so funny, it took me all my time not to drop on the spot, but when I got back and told David, we just creased!! Glad you enjoyed your trip to the beach tho, where I live we're just a couple of feet from the beach and the seagulls mob us everytime I step out with Alf! xx
