  4. I really hope you can get both babies Carol. The best thing I ever did was buy my second grey! As well as keeping each other company, I love to watch my three preening each other and playing together. I wish I could have brought two home at the same time, my three are all different ages but I wouldnt have it any other way. I cant wait to find out what happens, do what feels right for you! Good luck:)
  5. Congratulations on your baby girl:kiss:

  9. They are wonderful pictures, she is a very pretty grey. Love the background in the picture, the scenery looks amazing:)
  10. What a beautiful little birdie! We also have a friend who feeds a robin. It is quite a timid little thing and has actually gone into their house a few times. My friend looks forward to his daily visit as he is at home all day as he is paralysed due to a rugby accident. These feathered friends can brighten up a persons day:) Thanks for sharing these pictures with us.

  19. Hiya Lori and welcome to the forum. Wow you certainly have your hands full! I only have three greys and they take up all my time I bet you dont get a minute to yourself! I look forward to hearing more about you all, I hope you enjoy it here:)
  20. At 5 weeks old I would have thought your baby would need 4 feedings a day. This is only a guideline, but going by the feeding chart I would have said 20cc-30cc x 4 feeds a day. We have some of our members on here who have been handfeeding their babies, I am sure they will give some great advice. If you read through this thread and also the birdfood room, it offers advice on introducing pellets and fruits and veggies etc, this can be done at approx 8 weeks of age but again each baby is different. Please take the time to read through all the different threads. I hope you enjoy the forum.
  21. It sounds as though she needs to be taught how to play. To some greys its a natural thing to others they need a little help along the way. We have a room here for homemade toys, i understand you cant get hold of any, what about making some of your own for her? It sounds silly but play with the toys yourself in front of your grey, try and make it look really exciting, try and play games like peek a boo or if your grey feels comfortable on the floor a small ball might be fun. Can you get hold of any pine nuts or pistachios? Im sorry I dont know exactly where you are and what is available, these are what I use with my greys. I also use sugar snap peas and pomegranate seeds. I have three greys and they are all so different, one plays more than the other, one talks more one is more lovable. Each grey is different and it maybe that your grey may not be as curious and adventurous as some others will be. Take small steps and watch her personality develop. You have not had her very long and it will take a while for her to gain your trust as well, this will come over time dont rush her. Take a look around the many rooms we have here including the Nursery which may help with socialising your baby. Also the training and birdfood room will offer some good advice as well. Good luck and welcome to the forum Tom.
  22. Welcome to you both, How long has Juice been plucking? Did anything change you can think of? Maybe something new in the house, change of routine? Cant wait to hear more about you both, thanks for sharing the lovely photos of Juice:)
  23. Is it possible to post a picture? It sometimes helps when we can see what a grey is doing. I wonder if its to do with the clipping? If for some reason there is some discomfort for your grey. I would go for a vet visit if I were you just to check everything out. Do you have a good avian vet?
  24. They are great photos, Shady looks like he is having lots of fun:)
