That is a beautiful picture:) As well as my three greys I have two cats which are old ladies now, they are both 18 years old. I have no plans to add to my flock, my three babies are enough. The cats are quite independent and being older they sleep most of the day.

My thoughts are with you both..

I have not been on for a while as a regular user like I used to be, Ive had different things going on at home and also have started work again part time. Anyway enough of my moaning! Two of mine used to do this when they were very young, probably about 12 weeks old. They seemed to grow out of it. Did your grey do this for the previous owner? It might be something she has always done. I have one grey who sleeps clinging on to the bars on the side of the cage (very strange) again something he has done since being a baby. If she is comfortable with this and seems to be getting enough sleep I dont see it being a problem for her. Caroline:)

Hiya and welcome to the forum. Its great you have taken in an older grey, I look forward to hearing more about you both. A radio is a really great idea, I leave one on for my three when I have to go to work or go out for a few hours. Like someone else said as well, lots of shredding and puzzle toys are lots of fun for your grey. Cant wait to see some photos when you get some, hope you enjoy it here:)

I use frozen veggies sometimes, but you cook them the same way that you would for yourself. I wouldnt be giving any frozen veg to the birds.

What a busy and strange week it has been! I have gone back to work part time now, I only have to work mornings so I am back for the greys in the afternoon which is good. I was woken the early hours of Tuesday morning with stomach pains, after going to the emergency docs it turned out I had an stomach ulcer but had no choice but to go into work as I had only just started my new job, so its been an interesting week! I hope everyone is well and looking forward to the weekend, happy mothers day to all you mums for Sunday, I hope you will have a special day:)

Sheila, I am so pleased your Mum is doing so well at the moment. Like any illness, you will sometimes get good days and bad days wth your mum. Hopefully the tiredness will go soon and your mum will feel a bit better. You have a great day with your Mum on Sunday, make sure you pamper her and make it a very special day for both of you.
