  2. No festival would be the same without the ice cream;) And yes ladies and gentlemen, take note.... blue skies and shadows on the ground:P That is an even more beautiful sight in Ireland
  3. Its actually something just observed in Tullamore, Co Offaly. Legend has it that some time in the late 18th century a hot air baloon crashed into Tullamore. The incident was named the Phoenix because the passengers "rose from the ashes" (in other words they survived!) Each year the festival gets bigger and now it lasts for almost a week. Today was the last day. Its just lots of fun and a tourist attraction now. But we love it;) !
  4. I went to the Phoenix Festival in our local town today and wanted to share some of the beautiful sights with you all. There are actually some children in wheelchairs inside these! One for the children... And finally one for the men
  5. {Feel-good-0002006E} Just keep taking the tablets... you'll be ok in the morning
  6. I prefer the last one too. I wonder what she is looking for She is adorable.

  8. Liath usually sits on my shoulder while I do what little housework I absolutely HAVE to do to keep the house from caving in One of her first phrases that she learnt to say was "Doing the washing"! Oisin is clipped and he is perfectly happy to hang out around or on his cage. And I often leave both of them together there while I work in the next room.
  9. I think if you hadnt heard of them, it is safe to assume they aren't the pet for you They are incredibly strong, and can actually break the welds on their cages with their beak. Imagine what they could do to your finger if they haven't been trained properly! They are also so big I imagine getting proper exercise for them would be a huge problem (pun intended:) )
  10. Hi Ricquay, and welcome to the forum. There are some links to articles on the Home page, and there are also some under the Health and Nutrition tab at the very top of the page. In the Nursery section there is lots of info about the first 2 years of your grey's life. Another way of finding information on specific topics is by using the search box at the top and you can search for previous threads on the topic. Or if all this fails, you can always ask a question and we will try to answer you I hope this helps, Siobhan
  11. But every self respecting pirate needs a walnut ship And you have to admit, Dorian went to a lot of trouble to make those murky waters! He is one clever little pirate. I wonder what his next adventure is going to be

  13. Well done Mel! You posted a picture  I love the table top stand. That is so neat!
  14. Isnt that cute they way Dorian even put little boats in his soup? Acapella you should make little sails for his walnut boats with cocktail sticks and paper
  15. Aw! He is gorgeous! I love babies Is that perch a swing or is it fixed somehow? The reason I ask is that I got a swing for my guys and they are afraid of it because it doesnt stay still. They love the round ones though:S
  16. Congratulations Steve! He won't be George, but hopefully he will go a long way to filling the gap George left behind ! And I am delighted for you that he pooped on you! Oh the joys of birdie poop:lol:
  17. Its funny, but the latest advice for humans is to eat less processed food, and go back to the natural stuff like vegetables, fruit, seeds and nuts. But for parrots it's to eat less seed and more processed pellets:unsure: My birds eat mostly fruit, veg, seeds and people food too and I think that has to be better for them. And at least I know its fresh and not full of preservatives and chemicals to make it palatable.
  18. I could be way off here, but Liath bites when she is (a) hungry or (b) overtired. If she has been out for a long time or if there has been too much activity in the house for her to get her usual naps in she gets very grouchy.
  19. Well if people are bored by quitting smoking, they need not read the thread;) We just think you are brilliant because those of us who have managed to quit know how hard it is, and those of us who haven't quit yet, probably haven't quit because they know how hard it is too:P I think you should hold off on Hawaii though till you have enough money saved to bring me too! Maybe at your 200 day anniversary
  20. That is brilliant Laurie! Ask him to put up my shelves while he is at it  I think its amazing the sounds that our greys can mimic! What other sounds can your birds do apart from the usual telephones and smoke alarms! Beaker our caique does running water amazingly well!
  21. A Bed tester:P What's your favourite drink?

  23. Actually I think thats a clever name:) Lets see... as a baby he can be Teeny bird, then Toddler Bird, then Teen Bird. As his mood changes he can be Terrific Bird, or Terrible Bird
  24. I got Medium in fluorescent pink
  25. I got mine in Northern parrots. But only because they were the only ones I found who would deliver to Ireland;)
