How awesome is that Wendy!! congrats!! I know the feeling, when SweetHeart let me give her neck scratches the other day for the first time, I was all choked up and actually was teary eyed! And she is saying more and more under her breath lol, won't be long! But soo happy for you and Bernie!!! That is just awesome!

Yes I agree a baked potato! Okie dokie than! I'll tell you though, we went to our little so called Restaurant in town where they always serve brown beans and cornbread, good little country place I guess, not taste though, but they had lasagna for their special one day, and my mom and I (keep in mind mom is 100% Italian) decided to have some! They made it with American Cheese!!! It was soo gross we couldn't eat it! I don't know about some people lol!

I completely agree with you Rick! I was wanting to take sweetheart out as well! She is only 10 months now and it has taken her the whole 4 months here with us to just start letting us do neck rubs. So it may take a little bit for your baby to get used to everything! Trust me it takes time! As for just taking him outside, I don't know if yours is clipped or not, just be careful because clipped or not they can catch the wind and sail away. That is why like Muse suggested that you go ahead with maybe trying to start with the harness. But don't get discouraged, everything takes time and tons of training! Good luck to you! I am in the same boat!! Joe had told me to start with just putting him on your shoulder and bringing him to the door with the screen shut, just so he can get familiar to the outside sounds. That would be a great start for you!

LOL Wendy! We got married a week after my 18th B-Day and still going strong as well after almost 13 years in April and 14 years together! He is still my best friend. And the thing is, we never ever fight about $$. We made that rule when we first got together lol. His words to me were, " I am a man who doesn't have any nor will I probably ever have any in the future, so what you see is what you get." And not to mention the fact that we always saw people arguing about $ and we saw that it still didn't change anything in their lives! Did it grow a money tree out back to fix the problem? Nope! So why fight about it! And honestly I think that has made a world of difference in our lives, we just take what is given to us and what we earn and we could of course be happier if we had some more lol, but we are doing good! And good thought on your bird lol, others need to have that same thought as well, at least the ones who don't know what they are getting into! and than just give them up. Others things come up and that is understanding, especially when you have no control over it.

The land we bought came with the orchard, but funny thing is we don't really eat much of it lol. At least this year they will get some use instead of all going to the birds (outside) or the deer! And yes, his friend and him usually go in on a garden there is normally soo much that we give some away and still have to throw some out even after we have canned it lol. Wish some of you lived closer! I could keep you up on fresh fruits and veggies lol Jessie enjoys working in it and does all the canning himself with his friend lol. That's fine with me! He wants to put a little garden here at the house though this year to piddle in. So I think we will be getting some dirt brought in instead of the red clay! And yes Tin! I hope you get to put one in! I hate them lol, and don't eat anything out of them lmao, except for corn and potatoes lol But he loves to do it, keeps him busy lol

I am one of those determined people, where I don't let anyone or anything walk on me, and seeing what you do with yours just makes me want her to love me lol. I'm in WV! Was in Ohio right along the lake. I miss that! But now we are in Northwestern WV. Better place to raise the kids I guess.

LOL Dan! That was funny cause I had read that babies cry, and I asked the breeder aka thefeatherhut and she sent me that video of casper crying lol. As for the dancing, I probably look funny around the house when I clean Nyscha lol I already dance everywhere and the kids laugh at me. I will try to get them in on the action as well, maybe she will like to see them as well lol.

Yes please let us know how he does when you get back! I would love to know! I have inlaws that live about 4 hours from here, but I think going there with the kids and dogs would just be hectic for sweetheart lol. But let us know how your trip goes and how your parents liked him?

That is a great story Wendy! You always hear that people get married because of a baby on the way and it almost never works out for the good. I am soo happy you guys are still going strong! Wow that would suck! I would be finding another vet real soon! I do my nails and wings myself and have never had any problems. But as for the vet! All I can say is wow! I wouldn't have paid them lol. That is just bull!

Little Billy wanted $100 badly and prayed for two weeks but nothing happened. Then he decided to write God a letter requesting the $100. Adelt as far as the red around the eye a picture would say a thousand words. It is good though that coco is eating well and sleeping well. Great too that he has learned some more words! How old is coco? As far as the toys introduce them slowly. If he's a younger bird I would say just place them on their play top and let them explore them for themselves. If it's an older bird I would put the toy across the room and than closer here and there until he is used to it and let him see you playing with it as well. I know it's hard, but you have to try to show no fear with their beaks, if you do this than they will have the upper hand and he will train you instead of you training him. Step up I can't express enough how important that is for them to do it when they are told. It's not just a come her command like I want to play with you, it could be for a safety issue too and if they don't step up they could have something bad happen to them. Such as flying to another cage and getting a toe bit off, or landing on the floor with some dogs. And my Grey is clipped and can still do all of this lol. So just keep at the step ups and don't back down on that one. Hope to see some pics of the eye though. Keep us updated!

lol everyone! Age is just a funny thing isn't it lol. I am 30 going on 31 this April. I said I wasn't going over the age of 29! I still feel like I'm in my 20's though! Hubby says a 15 year old boy couldn't keep up with me lol
