So sorry to hear about everything going on Gus! I'm sure things will settle down before too long. Hopefully your better half will have a little more patience with your Grey. They can be annoying at times. SweetHeart hasn't gotten that way yet, but we have a Quaker that was abused before we got her and well she is just very annoying lol. And than I think we just like the hectic house cause we are getting a Goffin Cockatoo as well. And thinking of having another child! So maybe we are crazy, but if we didn't have our chaos it wouldn't be us lol. Please ask any questions and I'm sure we can try to help to our best that we can!

It's 5:40 here and hubby is cooking a dinner that just makes me wish I could send you all the smell! It has been a gorgeous day here for a change! Kind of muddy still but it has been about 63 degrees here today! I made a little milestone with our baby horse today as well! So I am high on my horse soo to speak lol. Overall a great day, besides hearing the kids bickering back and forth lol.

That is a cute story Wendy! If your baby is still young though, keep having your husband hold him a little here and there and feeding him some stuff. SweetHeart doesn't like my hubby too much either, but I will pass her off to him, just to keep her socialized. Seems to be working.

Wow everyone! I wish I could give Karma to all of you! Those were all awesome stories! Some made me laugh and some made me tear up! I have to say that SweetHeart has taught me to be patient, and I thought I had that! I have two kids and thought I was doing good lol. But when you have something that is completely afraid of you and went through a terrible flight, and all you want to do is cuddle it and love it. It is soo hard to do from afar. Now 4 months later, my patience is finally paying off. She is turning a corner and has taught me that not to stop going after what I believe in and not to stop loving something that at first may not love me back. Just to keep trying and trying again until we all get it right lol.

And yes this is really a good place for a new person owning a Grey! I have learned soo much! If it wasn't for this place I may have given up on SweetHeart and she would have been just a pretty birdie in the corner that came out and played by herself. I was going to say I know you can ship through Delta which you probably have used and I think it's $125 to ship. That's how I got sweetheart and getting our new baby goffin in april. I hope the two of you can make a deal lol. I love seeing new little homes for sweet little birds!! Sorry I will keep my two cents out now lol

I honestly don't think that at all especially if the bird was gotten from a baby. There are actually birds that think they are dogs cause that is the only other animal in the house lol. I think if the bird was gotten from the wild, than yes maybe this theory is true. But just a breeder baby no I don't think that is very true at all.

LOL Nychsa. That is just too cute! Hey look at it as you can have a bird like mine, and begging for her to do some stuff to make your day something lol. All SweetHeart does for the most part is sit there lol. She gets her spunky little moods but nothing like yours lol.

I will have to try that, actually sweetheart was trained before coming to me, to poop over a trash can first thing in the morning. But I had read somewhere other than here, that there have been birds get backed up and have some major problems because they only pooped when their owners told them to, and than when their owners weren't around they still never went. But I'm sure that there are not that many cases like that. They probably had a dumb bird lol.

Well Judy I know how fragile you are being that you are older lol, so I am seeing how far I can go. You know like a kid at the babysitters lmao! I'm just jokin!!!! But I love that all of us seem to have a good sense of humor!

Well good! I was finally for the first time getting to give her head scratches! Hopefully she will still let me! I love spending time with his parents! And it is back to our hometown, so a bunch of friends we haven't seen either for about 6 years!!! We never seem to have enough time to see everyone. So hopefully we will get to see some!

It's 12:22 am here in WV. It was very muddy today! The power went out from 2 in the morning till around 11 this morning. It turned out it was a couple counties wide. I agree please bring on the spring! I hate cold weather!!! I want to sit out on my deck! Headed to bed now!
