LOL! My Quaker Molly does that all the time to the one we have hanging from her perch! That is just funny! Well I hope it's all taken care of now, and hope she does get a clean bill of health!

Well good to hear some more good news! With the stepping up, Every time you go to make her do it, make sure she follows up with it and even if she doesn't feel like it. She will understand than that when you say step up you mean business and she has to do that. In the long run it's only for her safety. And as for her flopping to the floor, she can really hurt her breast bone if not careful. When you have her on your hand, hold her toes with your thumb, for some added safety. If she goes to flopping around you can at least hurry up and bring her close to your body and get her calmed back down and than resume the hand perch. But try not to let her fall. They are top heavy birds and they can easily damage their breast bones. As for taking her out of the cage, just do what your doing and make her come out when you want her to, don't give in. Just remember your training the bird, not she's training you lol. And as for the shoulder, all parrots in general aren't good shoulder birds because of they aren't reliable. But many of us do it. It all comes down to what chances you are willing to take and you mainly have to be able to read your birds body language and be aware of it while on your shoulder. If you don't want her there, than don't let her. It will be a fight for a little bit, but eventually she will learn. They are smart birds. They like to have the height though and that's why they love it there. Thanks for the updates!!!

They were together in the House. Just the two of them. It was a cold, dark, stormy night. The storm had come quickly and each time the thunder boomed he watched her jump. She looked across the room and admired his strong appearance...and wished that he would take her in his arms, comfort her and protect her from the storm. She wanted that...more than anything ... Suddenly, with a pop, the power went out... She screamed... He raced to the sofa where she was cowering. He didn't hesitate to pull her into his arms. He knew this was a forbidden union and expected her to pull back. He was surprised when she didn't resist but instead clung to him. The storm raged on...as did their growing passion. And there came a moment when each knew that they had to be together. They knew it was wrong... Their families would never understand... So consumed were they in their passion that they heard no opening of doors...just the faint click of a camera...... <br><br>Post edited by: Ronda477, at: 2008/02/29 14:27

Well I don't blame you with the gas prices the way they are! My baby is 4 hours away! I haven't seen him yet except for all the photos my breeder sends me all the time along with a few videos of him! Which is very nice!

LOL Rickster, It is great you are doing good with your little guy! And great that you are giving him a home. But like the others have said, just keep in mind it may happen. I have had SweetHeart for 4 months now and still no bites for me either. But you always have to be aware and look for the signs of when he will/may bite. But we are all very glad he is bonding well! Our Quaker regurgitates for my husband as well. He will just put her back on her stand and try to ignore it. It can lead for sexual frustration for them as well if you encourage it. Well that and she backs up to his arm lol. We were told that was all a sign of her/him wanting a mate and Molly has picked my husband lol. So just be aware which I'm sure you are that we weren't telling horror stories to scare you, but to let you know that even the most trusted bird can bite at any given time. Good Luck with him, and hope to hear more from you along with some pics!

You know your a bird person when... -You are trying to figure out what piece of furniture can go so you can get another bird -You are thinking of adding a room onto your house strictly for your birds even though some people have closets bigger than your son's bedroom! -And you are looking for ceiling space so you can hang more toys without getting pooped on constantly

I found this site that has many parrot recipes. They may have something similar to those. http://www.parrotrecipes.com/modules/recipe/letter.php?letter=Cookies

LOL do funny pictures count? But here is a joke, if funny pics are ok, than I'll post that. It's not nude or anything, just funny I thought. Breast or Bottle Fed?? A woman and a baby were in the doctor's examining room, waiting for the doctor to come in for the baby's first exam. The doctor arrived, examined the baby, checked his weight, and being a little concerned, asked if the baby was breast-fed or bottle-fed. "Breast-fed" she replied. "Well, strip down to your waist," the doctor ordered. She did. He pinched her nipples, then pressed, kneaded, and rubbed both breasts for a while in a detailed examination. Motioning to her to get dressed, he said, "No wonder this baby is underweight. You don't have any milk." "I know," she said, "I'm his Grandma, but I'm glad I came. "

Ok SweetHeart is truly coming around!!! I got to give neck scratches for the very very first time tonight!!!!!!! And she is finally starting to let me rub her beak! This is just soo exciting. I'm sorry I know I'm probably boring all of you lol. But after all this time, the hard work is finally paying off! I can't express enough to all of you out there going through mild stones to just stay patient! It will eventually pay off! Cause even if she is her normal self tomorrow and doesn't let me do it again, she let me 3 times tonight! And it was just great! <br><br>Post edited by: Ronda477, at: 2008/02/29 04:41

Greenwinged how are you trying to upload them? The size might be too big, if you go to photobucket.com and upload them there and make sure they are message board sized, you can than take the IMG code, copy it paste it and than place it here. That should work for you. If not feel free to pm me and ask more.
