Yes I agree with buying from stores on ebay, but the thing is with this particular store she is on LAKE ERIE and I talked to her actually about getting me a TAG and I can go look at her bird store in person that is the one good thing. I like the one that is like a little house but like Tari had said being it's not the highest point on the cage for the play area my little gal might not go there to play. Which makes sense. Please keep the responses coming they are very helpful!

Ok I am looking for cages and have no idea what size I am suppose to get. The one cage I was going to get the breeder said was no good cause I wanted a corner cage but she said that the birds will get claustrophobic. Understandable. I want the best for little gal to come home to but can't afford tons of $$. Can anyone help me on what size I should get, what is the minimum that you should get and I'll try to get one a little bigger than that. Thank you!!!

Is there a list somewhere on the net for AG's names? Like suggestions on what to name them like they do dogs?

Ok I have told you about the little girl I will be getting. She was born on 5/10. They call her Heart but I wrote to the breeder and she hasn't answered back yet but I don't know if she knows her name already or if that is just a name the breeder gave to her to identify her. Can I change the name being she is still very young? Thanks guys and gals! The breeder just wrote me back and she said this "I call her Heart because she was my favorite. I told my husband she was a piece o' my heart. But she will learn a new name, she is still very young." That is sweet! Now I don't know what to do lol

See that's the thing. She is in TX and we are in WV. So there is no way for us to meet her before we get her. I only wish we could afford something like that but we can't. I am going on talking basically all the time to this breeder. She does seem to have a very well kept aviary. She has answered tons of our questions already and she has four all together to pick from. She has told us all their personalities and I think she would be a great fit for our family. She said she is very playful and loves to cuddle and is laid back where as the boys she has likes to cuddle too but they also like to go off and get into stuff huh go figure lol. But that's what I hate, that there isn't a place around here to go visit them. So I am going on her ever word. She has references and they all seem to have checked out. I haven't called her vet yet. But she seems really nice and has gave me photos like a proud owner would. I already have a folder full of photos from all the ones she has sent. So no I can't visit her what is your advice on that one?

Thank you all for such a warm welcome!! I have a breeder that is contacting me right now actually and she has four timneh's, 3 males & one female. They are all soo cute! They were born in May and one in June. If we decide to go with this couple that is selling them which they have answered soo many questions for me already, I don't know which one to pick lol. It's soo hard to see in just pictures. But thanks again for the welcome! Look forward to talking to everyone for I'm sure I'll have a ton of questions and not to mention pictures to share!! Hello everyone! My name is Ronda, I am married and have two children but if you look at my profile you will see all that lol. I am here to find out about getting a Timneh vs. Congo. So far I think the Timneh is the best for us. I have read that it is more of the family bird out of the two. If anyone can give me some hints and suggestions on what to look for when getting a new little one I would greatly appreciate it. I don't want one that isn't weaned that's for sure. I found a couple of breeders on-line and there is one imparticular that has really caught my interest on how much info they give you on their place and what they do to care for thier birds. We don't have any breeders near us. So my only option unless one of the breeders I contacted in Ohio give me a call is to order one and have it shipped. Please give me any feedback as we are new to this breeder option and have heard horror stories on bird fairs and pet shops. Thank you!!!
