That is perfectly normal. They all scrunch up one foot and bring the foot close to them and will just stand on one leg while sleeping when they are a little older (Not knowing how young yours is, but if I remember she is pretty young) and when they stretch they clench their toes together as well. Not sure about arthritis though. But you will see them bring one foot up and scrunch all toes together and sit there for a little bit, they are comfortable and only do this when they are, if they are frightened or tense they won't assume this position. Here is a pic of SweetHeart with her sleeping position. And than when she stretches she clinches it and stretches. But it's all normal. You would think like you said they would get tired lol <br><br>Post edited by: Ronda477, at: 2008/04/03 06:52

I voted Yes Dan, mine are clipped all of them. We have too many windows and kids going in and out, it's for their safety, otherwise I could care less, but one flight into the Window SweetHeart went, and she even shook her head after landing, like what in the heck! This was just a few days after we got her home and actually as most of you know she was already clipped with 5 feathers on each wing lol. She was just determined lol. Than the added issue of them flying to each other's cages, toes started to get nipped and I was very worried about having a missing toe. So they are all clipped now.

Well guys once again I agree with your humor lol. But than again I was never one of the woman to disagree, if you remember I was welcomed into this club lol. But I for one did quit my job because of the way I all of a sudden saw my kids changing! My 11 year old daughter at the time had one heck of a mouth on her and my 8 year old son was going the same road. Soo... we put a stop to that, she is now 12 and he will be 9 in a few weeks, but the lack of us not being here round the clock for them was really hurting them. Yeh we were able to go out to a nice restaurant every week, and now we can't. They are more mannerly now and honestly we don't live like most do. If I were to tell you what we made a year, most people make that in about 2 months. Our house and land is paid for thank god, which is a huge plus, but they do have their video games and that includes the big kid himself, my husband lol. But they have the clothes they want for the most part, it helps living out in the country, it's not soo much on name brands here and that's why we moved from Ohio. But I do agree, if one of them can stay home and be with the kids, they should, even if it means struggling for a little bit, the kids will turn out much better down the road, and really not soo much down the road as it is right now!

One day a father gets out of work and on his way home he suddenly remembers that it's his daughter's birthday. He pulls over to a Toy Shop and asks the sales person, "How much for one of those Barbie's in the display window?" The salesperson answers, "Which one do you mean, Sir? We have: Work Out Barbie for $19.95, Shopping Barbie for $19.95, Beach Barbie for $19.95, Disco Barbie for $19.95, Ballerina Barbie for $19.95, Astronaut Barbie for $19.95, Skater Barbie for $19.95, and Divorced Barbie for $265.95". The amazed father asks: "It's what?! Why is the Divorced Barbie $265.95 and the others only $19.95?" The annoyed salesperson rolls her eyes, sighs, and answers: "Sir..., Divorced Barbie comes with: Ken's Car, Ken's House, Ken's Boat, Ken's Furniture, Ken's Computer, one of Ken's Friends, and a key chain made with Ken's balls (golf balls that is!) lol.<br><br>Post edited by: Ronda477, at: 2008/03/29 19:56

Here ya go guys! Here is some warnings for you, that are soo true! lol 1. Fine : This is the word women use to end an argument when they are right and you need to shut up. 2. Five Minutes : If she is getting dressed, this means a half an hour. Five minutes is only five minutes if you have just been given five more minutes to watch the game before helping around the house. 3. Nothing : This is the calm before the storm. This means something, and you should be on your toes. Arguments that begin with nothing usually end in fine. 4. Go Ahead : This is a dare, not permission. Don't Do It! 5. Loud Sigh : This is actually a word, but is a non-verbal statement often misunderstood by men. A loud sigh means she thinks you are an idiot and wonders why she is wasting her time standing here and arguing with you about nothing. (Refer back to #3 for the meaning of nothing.) 6. That's Okay : This is one of the most dangerous statements a woman can make to a man. That's okay means she wants to think long and hard before deciding how and when you will pay for your mistake. 7. Thanks : A woman is thanking you, do not question, or Faint. Just say you're welcome. 8. Whatever : Is a women's way of saying F@!K YOU! 9. Don't worry about it, I got it : Another dangerous statement, meaning this is something that a woman has told a man to do several times, but is now doing it herself. This will later result in a man asking "What's wrong?" For the woman's response refer to #3.

LMAO No Joe far from a training bra! About 4 sizes! lol If you have boobs it doesn't hurt lol. It's the ones that are little that they have to try to clamp down, that hurt, and if you have implants those are really painful! I was having a conversation with the woman while she manipulated my boobie in the contraption lmao. Can you tell I'm medical? lol I don't care who's handling them and what we are talking about lol.
-
Actually you have to HAVE boobs to have a painless mammogram lol. I had one and didn't hurt one bit!

No problem Sam! Let us know how Fletcher is doing! He will be a little upset with everyone depending on how long he was there, but if he is young, don't do what I did and give him time. Cuddle him and be close to him and show him you are there to save him! He will love you for it! If you need anything please don't hesitate to write any of us!!!
-
lol No you don't get a thumbs down, but you will get a be careful lol. They can just fly off and land in hot water or on the hot stove is all. But glad you have soo much for him, I bet he enjoys that!

Yes jdr it is normal and coco is just foraging. There is a link here on the forum about making a foraging tray at the bottom of the cage for them to explore. http://www.greyforums.net/forums/african-grey/60472-foraging-tray.html#60711 But just sounds like she is doing what nature wanted her to do. I would maybe look into making her one if she seems to like doing it.
-
I have no idea! We have never ever been on one!! Where would you like to go on vacation that you haven't been?
-
LOL No Joe! The breeder did it all. It was through Delta Airlines. She did it I know right through the Delta site online. She deals with them all the time, for she probably ships out over 100 birds a year! And yes Joe I know you were being funny lol, just wanted to let other users know lol.
-
Well trust me, I know how scary it can be!!! I was crying like a parent that lost her kid in the airport lol. But I had no control over it at all. I wasn't the one that lost her and had to try to find her. So I really know how Sam feels. Hopefully they will come back and tell us what is going on!
-
Sam I have soo been through this! My baby was on a 13 hour flight. She was in TX went to Atlanta, Than to Charleston South Carolina, than back to Atlanta and than to Charleston West Virginia. I called Delta and told them my concerns cause they had a live animal of mine on the flights. They were very very very good about it all. They found where she was, and right away put her back on a flight to me, which of course still had to take a bunch of time. A 5 hour flight turned into almost 14 hours. Than a 2 hour ride home from the airport. The breeder should be able to get ahold of the airlines and actually someone at the desk should be able to give you a # to call for their pet dept. Between the two of you, (breeder and You) you should be able to take care of it all. Are you at home now? As far as holding anyone responsible, I'm not really sure. In my case it was the breeders fault. The code for Charleston WV was one letter off from Charleston SC and it got mixed up. Please PM me if you want to, I will try to keep watching this post tonight!! Where are you located? And where is the bird flying in from?
