Thanks, Makena, for getting back to us with an update. I am sure you are very concerned about the safety of the treatment and the pests themselves.
Don't let the breeder give you a hard time, that is where she obviously got them from.
Glad to hear these kind don't affect humans but I understand your reaction, I would be doing the same thing.
Keep us informed of what transpires in the next few days and we will keep our fingers crossed that she is free of them soon.
Follow Dblhelix's advice, don't jump into using some chemical until you find out if it is safe. I have not had any experience with this but I would try to find a vet who is a certified avian vet, he would have more knowledge.
That is sad Beccy, especially with the other obstacles you have had to deal with, but if you have made peace with it then I am happy for you, for you know what you had to deal with.
LovemyGreys, I would like to hear that story someday, it helps sometimes to just have an ear to listen to someone else's story to take the focus off ones own problems, and I am a good listener.
Welcome to the family, Jlbatch, glad you joined. We look forward to hearing more about your breeder birds and stories you may want to share with us. Post some pictures if you have them , we love to look at pics.
Where abouts in West Virginia are you, I ask because I am from Virginia and I have a son in Mineral Wells, WV.
Thats sad to hear you haven't spoken to them in 2 years, Lovemygreys, I only wish I could speak to my dad, he died when I was just 16 years old. You ought to be the first one to try to get in touch, you never know when it will be too late.
But you know what they say about betta fish, they don't get along with each other, and guess what, you get put with another one and the two of you duke it out until you both die of exhaustion.
I wish I was invisible.
Congratulations, Beccy, I knew you could do it, and you do it so well.
I love your posts, all 1000 of them, you seem to be full of good information about the greyt world and I look forward to reading your posts, and you have a keen sense of humor I admire. Keep it up and you will soon catch up with me if I slow down that is.
Thank you for clarifying that for us, Dblhelix, I wasn't quite sure about them, so in other words, all cameroons are cags but not all cags are cameroons. Gotcha.
Welcome, Zohair, to the family, we are glad you joined and looking forward to hearing more about your flock, and you have a flock too with that many birds.
Feel free to post some pictures, we love pictures here, and post some of your other birds as well, we have a other birds room for them.
I gotta tell you Connie, you sure do have some brilliant ideas for cheap toys for our greys to keep them busy and occupied. I never would have thought of toothbrushes as being a good toy, but now I got to make a run on the dollar stores.
Thank you, Sueb, for posting your information in this thread, and welcome to the family. You will like it here, we treat each other as a second family and we will try to help you with any question you may have.
If you can get a photo posted of your ChaChi, we would love to see her, we love photos here, can't you tell.
