  1. Yeah she is probably looking for you but hey she might just want to play some more games too. You and Tracy, aka Lovemygreys, both have 4 greys in a bird room of their own, now how about that:laugh:
  2. Hello Pep and welcome to the family, so glad you decided to join us and we look forward to hearing more about you and these two greys. How wonderful you inherited two greys but sad about the circumstances by which you came to get them, sorry about the passing of your brother but now you get to carry on with his pals. Have you had birds before or is these two your first? You really had a scare with almost losing one of them but I would imagine it is taking some time for him to completely get over it. Your vet assures you he is getting better and he should know so try not to worry too much about it. Take some time and read thru the many threads for lots of useful information and do ask questions if you have any. We will do our best to get some answers for you and help you in any way we can. If you have some pictures of Nicholas and Chaz you would like to share with us we would love to see them.
  3. Howdy Dan, this is where you and I agree on one thing, I would use the same sentence "Hang Em" but by what is the big question:angry:
  4. Hello Gail and welcome to the family, so glad you could join us and we look forward to hearing more about you and Angel. How sad that he was kept in conditions like that, no wonder he is messed up, how could anyone leave him covered up most of the day and smoke weed around him but he has a new home now and I am sure he will blossom from your attention. He needs a balanced diet full of veggies, fruits, some seeds, nuts, legumes and some pellets but it looks like he has a serious plucking problem that you may never cure him of but I know you will do everything in your power to help him stop. Please take a little time and read thru the many threads for lots of useful information and ask questions I know you have. We will do our best to get you some answers and help you in any way we can. Thanks for sharing some pictures of Angel in another thread, he is handsome even though he is missing a lot of feathers but then real beauty is on the inside. If you haven't already please take him in to see an avian vet for a complete workup, he probably needs that badly and he/she can provide some advice on what he may need to return to full health.
  5. Stephen, s long as she glides down to the floor and not drop like a rock I think she will be fine, you don't want to keep her penned up in her cage all the time. Thanks for the vote of confidence, we love it here too and it is a great place to learn all about the grey.
  6. Probably most of the other brands would be good also, the Harrisons is considered tops probably because it is organic but I would stay away from the colored ones. But don't give up on the Harrisons just yet, keep offering them, sometimes it takes a while for them to catch on to eating them. Have you tried the suggestions for making them more appealing to them like soaking them in a little apple juice to get them to start eating them then back off on the juice until none is added.
  7. Heather she is beautiful but then aren't they all but she is definitely a keeper. Like Siobhan I would like to know what made you pick this one or did she choose you? Now I can't wait to hear some stories about her.
  8. Thats amazing when you can answer your own question, but thanks for the link Beth, it may have been posted before but it is worth another try. It does have lots of ideas too.
  9. I believe we do have several threads that deal with the subject of breeding greys, you just have to do a search to find them. As far as what to feed them look in the bird food room and the first few threads deal with what the diet should consist of.
  10. I have all three books mentioned plus a couple more, all are excellent reads, you can't go wrong with any of the 3 books named.
  11. Dave I think you missed your calling, comedy is definitely your passion. {Feel-good-0002006E}
  12. Sure why not What type of music do you like the best?
  13. I can imagine you won't sleep tonight, will be like waiting for Christmas morning, but its almost over and that day is approaching rapidly. I can't wait to see some pictures.
  14. Maybe not but I have no idea who will win but I bet we are in for some deep doo doo from whoever does win:pinch: Do you like working crossword puzzles?
  15. Don't worry about it if you don't get there as often as you like, she will get to like you just fine after you bring her home the way you obviously love her, how could she not:P B)
  16. A very important piece of equipment for grey owners so we can check on our bird's weight on a regular basis, and 350 grams is a good weight. Josey weighs around 420 grams.
  17. You know your a bird person when you have your bird's name on your personalized license plate:P
  18. Yep, going to Disney World Do you plan to vacation somewhere this year?
  19. Yes you can rest easy, Siobhan, Josey's looks similar too.
  20. No my family is fine compared to yours, gosh Berna you speak unkindly about your own father, but not going there so hope you can move out. Do you have any moles on your face?

    yippee

He may just want a little privacy for his bath LOL that must have been so funny but at least now you know he will take his bath if offered the right conditions. Thanks Kelly for sharing that with us.
  22. Hello Emma and welcome to the family, so glad you could finally introduce yourself so we can get to know you better and Sensei. A lot of our greys are fussy eaters and yours is no exception but keep offering the veggies and things he should be eating, he may finally give in and eat some. If you haven't already, read thru the many threads for lots of useful information and ask questions you may have. We will do our best to get you some answers and help you in any way we can. I look forward to seeing some more pictures of Sensei but the one with the collar around his neck is cute, sometimes we have to use drastic measures to keep them from further harm. I know he looks forward to having that thing off also.
  23. This is horrible news Tracy and my heart goes out to her and her family right now. Toni is such a sweet person and you really do not know what is in store for us, life takes a bad turn in the matter of seconds. I will keep Toni and her family in my thoughts and prayers for a speedy recovery and have her back on her feet very soon. I know you will let us know when you hear anything more Tracy, thank you for passing this on to us.
  24. Christoph I feed her both the dry and cooked pasta, she likes the dry in her bowl with her mix of seeds, nuts and legumes and she enjoys any kind of pasta like spaghetti, macaroni and cheese, lasagna or any pasta cooked. She gets cooked oatmeal with a little baby food veggie and some red palm oil mixed in for breakfast. You could also mix in a little unsweetened applesauce instead of the baby food to make it more appealing to him. The dry pasta she might not be eating it as much as she just likes to crunch it, I usually give her the spiral kind.
  25. Washing dishes What is the next electronic item you intend to purchase?
