Dan, Kodak was a good looking dog and I am sorry for your loss but as far as having one as a family protector I don't need it, I have a 9mm that works very well if I need it.

  3. She is a beauty all right, she is having a good time with that homemade toy she is playing with, she looks a real sweetheart, thanks Tracy for sharing her with us.
  4. Glad to hear that the dog will be ok and that is so sweet that she protects them that way and I doubt it will change things, would be different if it were the other way around.:pinch:
  5. That is so funny Pat and yours too Berna, I love how they keep you in stitches laughing, thanks for sharing them with us:laugh:  :cheer:
  6. Thats a good birdie, eating that broccoli, I should have snapped one last night of Josey with beets all over her beak and this morning she dropped a red bomb:laugh:  :woohoo:
  7. Then that is perfectly ok if it is for medical reasons but just for cosmetic purposes it seems a cruel procedure, thank god we don't have to do things like that to our birds, they would never forgive us:angry:
  8. Well I might get slammed here but I think if they are born with their ears hanging then that is what is natural for them and doing surgery to make them stand up is in contrast with what comes natural, my opinion of course.:pinch:
  9. Forest is a beautiful bird, they are so striking with that bright green body and orange and yellow beak, thanks for sharing that with us.
  10. Thanks for sharing those great shots of Gandalf finally getting a proper bath and he does seem to be enjoying himself and I know you enjoyed the cleaning up afterwards, but all part of the job. Now if you can do this at least twice a week because thats how often they need it:whistle:
  11. Nobodys perfect:laugh:
  12. Those are some lovely pictures of the babies and the one of Carlos's baby is so precious of Noam kissing Bobot, how adorable {Love-000200BF}

    Toni's injuries

Thanks for the update Toni, I have been thinking of you and how it is going with rehab, I have never been thru anything like that but I hear it is a long drawn out process that soon will be over with Toni back to 100%, you go girl:)
  14. I don't know the exact amount but it is about double in US dollars, so if something cost 20 in UK then it is about $40 here in the US.
  15. Thanks Dan for a very informative post on dominance and shoulder perching, you always come thru loud and clear and make perfect sense to me, well at least most of the time, sometimes you can get a little over my head:S
  16. """They sent it out without any instructions on putting it together and when I called about that, jane the person who answered ranted about nothing going right -- people aren't getting their orders -- they are getting other items that different folks ordered, etc.""" Sounds like someone there at that company is screwing things up and that is not your fault. I have never dealt with this particular website but it is not the only one with problems by any means.
  17. Congrats on the Tag instead of the Cag, I guess it was just meant to be this way for whatever reason, now how about some pictures huh:whistle:
  18. As far as I know any fruits and vegetables except for the potatoes are fine for eating raw so let Monty eat away at those fresh goodies. If I am wrong Tracy will correct me as she is the mod of the bird food room and she will know if any others are to be excluded from the raw list.
  19. Hello Veronique and welcome to the family, so glad you have decided to join us and we lood forward to hearing more about you and your new grey. I think we finally figured out that you had a Cag and not a Tag but either one of them is fine, not a whole lot of difference between them except for the coloring of tail feathers and beak. You said this is your first grey but is it your first bird or parrot? Do you have any other pets in your household? Greys are amazing creatures as you will soon find out if you haven't already and I hope you will be sharing some stories with us soon. Please read thru the many threads for lots of useful information and do not hesitate to ask any and all questions you may have and we will do our best to get you some answers and help you in any way we can. If you have any pictures of your grey you would like to share with us we would love to see him. If you need some help with posting pics we have a section in the FAQ that will help you in doing that.
  20. Nice picture Roger but I have never understood why people do that to their dog's ears, the poor thing:ohmy:
  21. Yes I like the playstand too and I also love the bright colors, looks like the colors I purchased for one I am going to make, just need the pipe now, thanks for sharing that with us.
  22. I am only a moderator so ask Penny but I don't know about that.:silly:  B)
  23. Veronique, what color beak does your grey have? If it is all black then it is a Cag, if the upper part of it is horn color then it is a Tag. Usually Cags have the bright red tail and the Tags have a maroon tail but there are some red factor feathers that could make it different. If you bought a baby grey then the tail feathers are going to have some grey in them until they go thru their first molt. Hope this helps. Why don't you introduce yourself in the welcome room and tell us some more about you and this new grey.
  24. You should ask Penny what you want to do with your friends list, if anyone can help you it is her.
  25. Congrats on bringing home the new baby grey and yes it just takes time for him to settle in so be very patient with him. I would closely supervise any time the cat is in the same room for they could hurt each other.
