  1. Nice pic but if you could size it down some it would be more easily viewed, thanks for sharing it with us.
  2. Oh several ought to be about right Toni, let me know if Alcazar will eat them ok:huh: :silly:
  3. She competing with you for the attention and you are loving it I'm sure. Yeah Josey does the shut up real well, in fact Sunday Sunny was screaming and I was trying to ignore it and hubby was threatening to wring her neck when out of the blue Josey says "shut up" and that was all she said but it worked for a little bit, I said thank you;)
  4. Those are nice Lauri but expensive. The adventure pack is maybe $140 to $150 and the larger travel cage I have was about $50 and it is very nice.
  5. Thanks for the update on Monty, he is doing real well and mommy sounds real pleased as she should be, way to go girl, proud of you:) B)
  6. Good job Jenny, he went in when he got hungry. Did you put some toys in the new cage, that might entice him to investigate, he will eventually, he won't be able to resist forever.
  7. They can but most of the time it is just scattered and it can occur on any part of the body. We have a few threads that have some pictures of some greys with lots of red, just do a search to find them.
  8. Yeah that would be a hoot Terri, I get such a kick out of Bella's stories, Josey is not that enthusiastic at any time, she is more laid back so I feel like I am missing out but your stories make me laugh so keep em coming will ya:lol: :cheer:
  9. That really was a stupid question to ask a bunch of grey lovers, sorry Roger, nothing personal:blush: just giving you a hard time, thats my job around here if you didn't know that by now, heh heh heh:lol:  :silly:   B)
  10. Thats whats called the "red factor" in greys, it happens sometimes and a lot of the time it will be gone with the next molt. It means nothing is wrong, so don't worry about it, some people think of it as something special so count yourself lucky:cheer: B)
  11. Thanks for sharing that with us Terri, that Bella is a character and I love the stories you have to tell us of her antics, never a dull moment around Terri's house.
  12. Hello Gilad and welcome to the family, so glad you could join us and we look forward to hearing more about you and your grey. What is the name of your grey? Do you know what sex it is? For lots of information please read thru the many threads on lots of topics and ask any and all questions you may have. We will strive to get you some answers and help you in any way we can. If you have some pictures of your grey you would like to share with us we would love to see them.
  13. Hello Scott and welcome to the family, so glad you have decided to join us and we look forward to hearing more about you and your rescue. I commend you for taking on this task, it is not going to be an easy one but it is one that will be very rewarding when you finally earn the trust of this grey. I read your other post where you tell us a little about this bird, how sad it was treated this way and now it is plucking itself, you may be able to turn that around but only time will tell. Please read thru the many threads for lots of useful and helpful information and do not hesitate to ask any and all questions you may have and we will strive to find you some answers and help you in any way we can. If you have some pictures of this grey you would like to share with us we would love to see them.
  14. I doubt it will be easy but it can be done, this grey is set in his ways at 13 years but with a lot of time and much patience you can form a trusting bond with this bird. The plucking may be another problem, sometimes once they start it is hard to get them to stop but never give up and be willing to love and adore an oven ready bird if it comes to that. Like Tracy said a vet visit is in order to make sure no physical problems are contributing to the plucking and to get an idea of overall health. Be prepared to travel a long road but the rewards can be great if you are willing to spend the time to make it happen.
  15. I allow Josey on my shoulder but I am aware of her body language all the time she is there and it is not for long periods of time either. She has never bitten me but I know the possibility exists but as long as she comes down on command I have no problem with it. It is a personal choice that each of us have to make but if you don't feel comfortable with it then don't do it, just that little bit of caution may trigger a reaction out of your grey.
  16. I rarely have that problem, if I wake up during the night I usually go back to sleep pretty quickly:blush:
  17. I have the adventure pack and another collapsable travel cage that is bigger than the adventure pack. I use the bigger one for Josey and the adventure pack for Sunny, my sun conure. You can do a search online for collapsable travel carriers to find where to purchase as I don't recall exactly where I got mine but it was at an online site.
  18. Well I don't know how fortunate I should feel as I would like cooler temps but thanks for the tips M2MM.
  19. Be careful of open windows and doors, keep the toilet seats down and monitor his presence when in the kitchen cooking.
  20. I'm shocked and how did that happen:laugh: better the bird than the dog:huh:
  21. It might help if I quit slipping off my eating routine, I am starting to go back to my old habits so yes I do need a swift kick, but yes I have heard that too, I need to shake up my workout some, maybe I'll get myself a bicycle:S
  22. Was there supposed to be a picture here Roger or are you just making a statement because if you are cool then I am cool with that................ {Feel-good-0002006E}
  23. Yeah but she is checking it out, hmmm looks like I can chew the dickens out of this thing, thanks mommy for sharing this with me.
  24. Good girl Chloe, look what fun you can have there tearing that wood up and mommy has to go buy you another one:laugh:
  25. Are you kidding, that is one nice looking grey but then I haven't seen one I didn't like, thanks for sharing that with us.
