Well, 2 days ago, my daughter stubbed her toe in the kitchen as Rikki was on the counter. SHe hopped around saying, "OW~OW!OW!OW!OW!OW!OW!" Well all day yesterday, I heard Rikki yelling, "OW! OW! OW! OW! OW! I thought it was my daughter!
Talon yells, "Oh My God!", It's very cute!
I have tried asking the question, and then saying the answer. This seems to work when I ask her what a chicken says.....she will then say, Bak Bak Bak!

I have a tag and a cag the same age. I totally disagree. MY tag speaks as clear as every member of my family. She speaks, slowly, clearly, and says every syllable. My cag I have had for only 3 weeks, she doesn't speak as clear as my tag, at least not yet.
I do use a radio to wake up to, so it doesn't scare her. But as soon as I go downstairs, no matter how quiet I am, my cag hears me and wants me to get her up! I don't, and eventually she quiets down and waits for me.
Never apologize for asking questions! That's how we all learn here from each other. I don't have a bird room, I wish I did, as I have 4 birds... But I do have a sleep cage in my bedroom for one of my greys. It doesn't seem to bother her too much if I am making noise in my room, but if I am up most the night, she doesn't sleep as well, and will be tired the next day. But that doesn't happen too often. My other birds sleep downstairs in the den in their regular cages, covered at night.
The one thing that I do, is step on the scale every day before I get in the shower. What the scale tells me, determines what I eat for the day, that's how I keep from gaining too much weight, as we all know how hard it is to lose those extra pounds when the numbers get too high!
Good job Laurie! One pound lost is better than one pound gained!! :cheer: Keep up the good work!
JUDY!!!!! Do I have to fly down there and get you motivated girlfriend?
You are right, being good is no fun, but the benefits of being good, outweigh the peach cobbler.....
I love the idea!! I'm going to try the same thing, I'll let you know how it goes. Thanks for sharing this with us!!
My 2 greys HATE the water, and do the same in their water bowls.
I for one, LOVE that our greys have brought us from many different parts of the world, many different beliefs and many different faiths together as a family where we all respect each other.
Thank you Patsy, for bringing this thread back to life! A gentle reminder to have healthy debates here is always welcome. :cheer:
