It's time to wake up this Game Room again! So here is my version of the online "I SPY" game that us parents play to occupy our little ones when they are bored waiting or in the car. It goes like this: You come up with a phrase such as this - "I spy with my little eye something beginning with B A W C" for "Black and white cow". I'll start with an easy one until we get the hang of it: I spy with my little eye an A G. The next person tells us what the AG stands for, then does their own. HAVE FUN EVERYONE!! Okay, I agree that finding a better home is in the best interest of the bird, however, I hate to see birds re homed again and again. They are so much like children, I can't imagine giving away one of my children because it was a problem. Commitment to our pets is how I feel when I take a pet in. I have never given away a pet because it was a problem, (or one of my kids for that matter ) however, I am a bit sensitive on this subject as my sister is the complete opposite, takes animals in, and gets rid of them when she gets sick of them or they become a problem. UT disgusts me. :angry: thus my earlier response. Everyone has different circumstances, and unless we are in their life, we really can't passed judgement on them. I expect that Demonio's family is doing the best they can. I agree with Dan in stating that coming here to offer his bird for sale to our caring family members is a wonderful way to find a new forever home. From where I am, $1200 is the price most cags are, and I live about 3-4 hours away from him.

Wow Dan, That is expensive. I mix the Roudybush in with some seeds as well. I buy the mini ones, she seems to like that size the best. I'm sure you could ask for samples from them. I actually ate some when I was trying to get Talon interested in them. :pinch: They were pretty good! :lol:

WOW! What a wonderful update!! I bought every brand of pellets available to try and get Talon on something healthy. I pushed and pushed the Harrisons on her, as I was told that was the best. To this day, she still hates it!! Won't touch it. :pinch: I found Roudybush, and that is her favorite! I was very happy, as I have read the ingredients, and it is a very good pellet to feed. I"M even happier to hear it is working wonders for you too! Thanks for keeping us updated!!

That is sooo funny! I can just picture it!! :laugh: :laugh: :laugh: :laugh: :laugh: Talon ALWAYS did the same thing, flipping all her bowls over, I finally bought the screw on perches with food bowls that hook and screw into them, She didn't like those bowls, she would hardly eat out of them. So I felt sorry for her, and started with the small metal cups again, and she just stopped, and never did it again. I use the small parakeet metal bowls that have a hanger that hooks from the inside of here cage, and she never flips them anymore. :unsure:

OMG! All these birds were stolen from you?? How tragic. I can only imagine the pain you have endured, and not knowing what happened to them is so sad...

They sell spell misters that you pump up just for birds, and they emit a fine mist that goes for quite a while. Talon HATES water also, and this is the best I can do for her. She will tolerate this above all else.

I have 4 children, and 3 birds. Talon who used to like my 13 year old, has now decided it is more fun to try and dive bomb him when she is flying around the house, and watch him duck! :evil: Because he doesn't listen to his mother :whistle: and continued the behavior....you guessed it, she does it most times she sees him. :pinch: I would NEVER get rid of her because she goes after him, we just adjust things here, and NEVER leave her out of her cage if I or Talonsis is not here. Talon is a member of our family too, and my son knows she will try to annoy him, so he avoids contact with her. We all have to make adjustments to get along in this family, just like some families may have 2 kids that don't get along. You don't get rid of one of them because one may be scared of an older sibling. Just my opinion for what it's worth. I understand you have to do what you can for your family.

Talon has the same setup in our kitchen as Heather does, only it is 2 circles instead of one. I'll post a picture of it. They LOVE climbing and hanging from it, and attacking the toys you hang at the top. :evil:
