I totally agree with the biting .... that Life is Grey has said. Totally redirecting with toys or something is a much better idea Ive done that w/marco. She has caught my finger tho 3 times pretty hard but it was out of fear so I didnt really discipline just said NO BITE firmly then picked her up.

Morning and welcome to you and bella I watched your videos and while Im NO expert I think the head bobbing is something they do when they are being fed or weened. I wouldnt worry about that. The other video of her biting you .... I think shes just being a grey and if shes biting your nail and it hurts lol then dont let her :confused: I would sooner say stop the behaviour before you teach her its "ok" to do that .. just my opinion She sure is pretty tho! I have my own list of things on my fridge that I printed out from the safe/toxic list I found online that goes from trees to folliage to fruits and veges so that way at a glance before she eats it I can feel good and safe about it ... infact my kids are like............. REALLY MOM? :rolleyes: becuz it filled the entire front of the fridge lol

ahhh I am very south central on the OK boarder so in like 45 minutes I can be in Oklahoma or 1 hour I am in Wichita ... and yes Im going to hit the one store today on my way home for the vet wrap stuff TOTALLY excited bout that lol. (apparently doesnt take much to excite me LMAO)

I dont have that many rooms to my little house so we have the cage w/playtop ... the home made tree stand on wheels (made from a pecan tree) the swing that will be in the window opening between my kitchen and dinning room and then course we have a boing in the one corner. I really like your sunroom toy! way cool .... Im definately gonna check out the vet wrap we have a great tack store in town Im totally on it

Thanks Nancy .... I am definately tryin hard to get everything ready and be as ready for Marco as possible when she comes home. I am starting to see the signs for sure. Im sure they will be much more apparently when shes home. So I have still SO much to learn. but thanks I will always try to protect HER as well as anyone around her

awwwww thats sweet! i just pray this week flies by ... I have ALOT to do for the bake sale this weekend on Thursday and Friday UGH! I just wanna be able to spend it with her but I cant until after the bake sale is over with then she'll have my undivided attention

well i have been bit hard 3 times by marco when she has been scared by someone/thing ... otherwise i think she is doing reallllllly great

i bought my cage from the petstore that has marco it has a playtop on it that is super cool and its HUGE takes up the entire corner of my living room LOL ....

totalllllly a great idea ... I have an extra keyboard upstairs right now I can get ready ... cuz this is my work computer and I cant let her destroy it ... so I will have to get her her own

yeahhhh sounds like he is progressing well the last 4 weeks will fly by promise ... marco bit me pretty good at the store the other day because a little girl ran up to her and tried to hand her a piece of food and she realllly reacted poorly so when i went to pick her up so she didnt bite the child she REALLY bit me pretty good twice ... I had to get off the couch and stand infront of her hiding the child for her to feel safe and get on my hand with no problems once the child was out of site. Im not realllllll happy bout that, its the second time ive been bit because of a child scaring her I dont know how to stop that, I spose Im glad my kids are grown but "some day" I'll have grandkids I wont want bit but I spose 1 day at a time I dont even have her home yet ... so I dont wanna over react just yet.

hey hey ! thanks oh goodness your baby was hatched way before mine :confused: why isnt it ready to come home yet? :confused: and yes true ... dont rush anything but that makes me curious. mine was hatched like dec 16th and she is eating on her own now and doing really well getting round, playing, and flying. am I ready? shoot .. I feel like Im ready. I didnt go see her today just to stay home and clean and clean some more. I have 3 menz I live with that are mechanics so I have gone thru and put up the toxic aresols and stuff like that on counters and my nailpolish remover and just put things in cabinets that will be out of reach for Marco. taken all the candles and stuff out, cleans and mopped floors, wiped down walls and cobwebs lol :rolleyes: I really dont think I can be any more "ready". i will leave work friday about noon and grab my friend and head out to the petstore ... we'll hang out there and get her all loaded up to come home! Ive gone thru the food and the toys and organized everything in the "food room" smiles I cant wait to get her home and have her exposed to the family. I even think they are finally a wee bit excited now too ... there will be LOTS of pics that nite so stay tuned lol ....

Thats funny that you said something about reading or not to your bird.... I make little videos with each trip Ive taken to go see Marco and yesterday I played back one of the videos several times and she just was mezmerized by it. I wasnt sure if it was that she could actually see the screen or if it was hearing my voice coming out of it ... but it was SOOOO cute! I think I will do what Doug does too ... narrating life .. lol (sounds funny)
