well thanks the pet store posted a super sweet pic of Marco and 2 other grays they took today! check it out !! I dont know which end is Marco but one of them is her. Infact either end is Marco and her hatchmate who also tested out a female as well. I think that is an awesome cute pic !!! The store owner was so excited to call me with the DNA results today and to tell me about the pic on FB~!

I have several little toy boxes I have started to build for Ms. Marco so I can rotate them, most of them are foot toys from plastic to wood colorful shreddable so I hope that will keep her busy when I bring her home. I am glad that the swing and toys in her cage at the pet store are alot like the toys I have in her cage at home I hope that makes it easier when I get her home.

LOL I know rite? I am so stuck on Marco ... sheesh! I will probably change it I mean she wont konw the difference ... My gf at work was giving me tons of "M" girl names and Molly was cute and Marley but then I think of the dog in the movie LOL hahahah ... what to do what to do. And Dave Id rather keep my story in 1 thread not in 5 different ones if that is ok with the Moderator Gods. People come here to see the updates on Marco and I dont fill up 8 different threads with progress on her thats all. Not only that lol makes it easier for ME to find as well ...

awww that is quite some drive but if you do get out there a few times it will be a great experience for you both! I put my deposit down on an egg too ... the petstore said that greys would only be available for a few weeks after they come in before they are ALL on deposit and man they sure werent lying! :eek: so I thought it was best to get my deposit in there before he was even hatch. Now the name thing? The petstore owner n teasing me what I was going to do if Marco did come back a girl ... and I said uhm ... name her Marco :-s LOL (man that is sure gonna screw up my you are a pretty BOY thing however) laffs....... :rolleyes: Ive been calling him a boy since January now I'll probably give my poor baby a complex LOL .. results SHOULD be in this week! man its a nail biter!!!! I KNOW!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! when do they change?

another amazing visit ... marco is down to 1 feeding now and has taken his first flight !!!!!!!! :eek: just amazing I got to see it! such a big boy now. hoping in about 3 weeks to have my baby home YEAH!

I am sure there are others far better to respond to this as well. I have also heard ALL of these things too. But, I am not letting that stop me from proceeding with getting my baby. Is he bonded with me right now? Yeah Id like to think so, will it change? it could, I hope not .. but onces he's in his forever home, Im sure lots of things will change. that wont stop me from loving him still and working with him and stuff. I live closer to 1.5 hours from the parrot store and have been blowing atleast a tank of gas each weekend just to go visit but I feel SO strongly about it! Your efforts you spend w/the baby will NOT be lost!

well helloooo there and welcome to the GF I dont have my baby home yet but I go and visit him every week. Mine has been moved from the back incubator to his toddler cage and then I think this week hes being moved to his big boy cage. He has also been hand raised since he was a baby at the store too and I have maybe 4 more weeks of waiting. Seems like forever. I feel its very important to try and form a bond with him so I visit as much as I can. I can tell you he nips a bit at my fingers now and hes 10weeks old, and last week he did nip me pretty good (nothing serious) and it didnt make me stop attempting to handle him. At the point he nipped me a crowd of people came in the pet store and surrounded where we were sitting and he panic'd I tried to pick him up to hold him and let him know it was ok but he was already freaking out. I truly think its about reading them as well. Its really hard only going on the weekends to see him, every week he changes so much, I really believe once I get him home tho, I will really learn him and what is expect of me by him I say dont worry about the nips your fingers will be fine!
