My Marco doesnt do that but she definately stares intently with her head cocked to the side like shes REALLY trying to understand you. I find it utterly amazing how smart she is. She knows the "sound" of a potato chip bag! LMAO she literally comes running at the first "crinkle sound" of the bag

I tried so hard to get marco's first words to be i love you and have YET to hear it her first real words were hello and peek a boo but I havent heard those in quite some time she has definately moved on ... her latest was 2 days ago and it was step up and shes actually saying Marco (pause) Polo ... (and that totally makes me giggle) ... each new thing she says is a rejoice moment so .. as the others have said, this too shall pass until the NEXT fun thing sinks in ...

Well he's tried really hard to "woo" her and gain her acceptance, his mom used to have a bird (so he has told me) but said it bit him all the time so he was very leary of Marco but ... shes really becoming more and more comfortable round him. It just makes me feel like, theres hope for my boys "IF" they put the time into her, like he did, that she would happily accept them too

I have totally just been skooled to that fact!

I gotta say Im pretty pleased as attached as Marco is to me, Im really happy to see that the new roomie in 2months, has reallllly charmed her and can handle her "most" of the time. He gets nipped a few times but he hasnt stopped trying and working with her. Hes really good with Marco, talks to her all the time, makes her dinner, and has since been able to pick her up and play with her. He spoils her! Hes even taught her some new words so just when I thought no one would ever be able to touch her and enjoy her but hubby and me, I am pleasantly suprised.

Marco has my one yippee dog down pat too, its bad nuff that lil thing barks his head off but when she does it ... its even worse. When we are outside on the porch there is our chairs infront of the window and she likes to come over to it, sit on her bird stand and bark like the dog while looking at us! :rolleyes: I think its actually kinda sweet that ANY time we go sit out there (usually to smoke or something) she climbs down from wherever shes at to look out the window at us ... :D

I cant wait til she starts that... that is funny stuff.

LMAO at the fire alarm!!!! I wonder if Marco associates the noises w/a person in particular in my house since she sorta gets stuck on them for like a month then kinda moves on to a new word or phrase. Lets just say with 4 grown men in my house her vocab is becoming quite uh "colorful". She has even started sayin the word Boo... at the end of her phrases like are you hungry boo? i love you boo ... its kinda cute you can tell the fun things I teach her :rolleyes: and the nawty things my boys have taught her!

Ive gone to check the microwave a time er 2 because of Marco ... and thought ... was I cooking something? I havent figured out her "Laugh" yet but Im sure shes doing it!

You can tell when your child gets too many text messages when your bird beings to say ..... DROIDDDDDDDD.... and they pick their phone up to look at it :rolleyes: Who would of thought she would pick that up? and its soooo spot on!!! My son said she held an entire conversation with him the other day while home alone with her LMAO. That is just funny funny stuff! every day just seems to be one more thing shes doing or saying Loving it!

See I couldnt tell if it was becuz of my "over use" of the word because I dont think she is associating it with HIM cuz she uses it all day long whether hes there or not and he really has no interaction with her at all ... so im thinking its just cuz I use it so often lol !!!!!! thats why we started saying Andrews not here lol ...

Sooooooo helpppppppp !!! I need to have my house sprayed for spiders I think we've killed like 5 in the last week big ole wolf spiders. I am NOT a spider friendly person! SO ..I talked to the bug sprayer dude and he "thinks" since the spray is odorless etc that the bird should be fine said no one else has ever had any problems with their pets etc. yadda yadda ... BUT dang, teflon is odorless too and kills birds... Surely Im not the only one that has the need to have their house sprayed? I live in the country ... I dont want spiders!!!! (my son was bit when he was little by a brown recluse.. trust me I dont want spiders in my house!!!) suggestions?

that one of the words Marco would pick up to the degree she has... was My sons name LOLOLOL .... All a sudden it made me realize just uhm how OFTEN Im screaming up the stairs to him waking him in the mornings or calling him on the phone ... LMAO !!!!!!!! Needless to say Im very aware of how many times I say his name now!!!!!! I thought at first I was just "hearing things" surely she wasnt saying his name ... however ... bwahahaha.... she TOTALLY is !!!!!!! Its actually funny how she is now forming like full sentences with the words she does know so ... now its usually Hey Andrew are you hungry? or Hey Andrey whatcha doing? Needless to say ... its the cutest thing! Weve actually started to respond with "Andrews not here" lol cuz she'll say it ALLLLL day long. Its really amazing to watch her look at me when I toss up a word to her that she doesnt use yet and it kinda throws her off her game.... cuz she'll be going along jabbering away with her whatcha doings? or are you hungry? and I'll say sweet potato or banana and she'll cock her head and look at me like ... <hmmm very interesting a new word> I like how she just appears to concentrate and even "think" about it for a moment. Shell do it every time I throw a new word at her. She cracks me up!
