Marco is ok with being touched just about whenever but snuggling is only before bed at my house

uhhhhhhhh ROGER THAT ....... my kids were delighted when she said a nawty word :mad: but now we just ignore when she says it and throw up new words, the boys have since moved out so she says it alot less now lol :rolleyes:

OOOohhhh let me tell you ... I said the same thing about Marco infact I was almost resigned to the fact I had a beautiful "whistler/clicker" just not a talker and I was ok with that. She is ALMOST 2 yrs (Dec 23rd) and I would say just in the last 2 months all that mumbling and grumbling REALLY really turns into words and phrases. Heck each new word she learns she puts on the end of a phrase. So ... Whatcha doing? Turned into Whatcha doing girl? Turned into Whatcha doing Marco? Just when you think they arent paying attention to you and you dont have to worry bout what you are saying infront of them, is when they drop the dredded F bomb or something that you said you really wish they hadn't of picked up lol. So I can relate to your worry, give your baby time, Ive heard it here several times Greys do things in the own time just continue to talk to Felix and include your baby in on all that you are doing. I sing to Marco ALL the time and have since she was a baby. It will happen when Felix is ready!

lol my kids said the same thing bout Marco when we found out she was a lil girl but its ALL good! I wouldnt change a thing with her .... isnt it like a boy named Sue? I got a girl named Marco

I totally agree with routine routine routine!!! Appreciate the time you DO have with your babies. I work FT and hubby works FT then on the sides hes next to never home and the kids are all moving out last one leaves probably by November this year. I keep lots of toys and foreging stuff in Marco's cage, talk to her in the mornings let her out for a bit, give her fresh food, then tell her I have to go to work (which shes been saying lately) put her in her cage and come home immediately let her out the second I put my purse down and shes out til bedtime. Shes very talkative as soon as I get home and first thing in the morning. She is out ANYtime I am home on the weekends You'll find what works for you!

Personally, I dont think you can make that determination. Greys will do what greys wanna do, however keep up going and seeing your baby and talking to them and gaining the trust and getting as close as possible that should help!

I think as long as you invest the time and energy into your baby CAG, they will in return accept you. However it doesnt mean you will be their "chosen" one necessarily. But dont ever give up on bonding with them
