Is it safe to assume that pecans in their most natural form are safe for our fids? I have a pecan tree that has never been treated with any chemicals and was wondering if my birds could have the whole nut with the outer hull intact?

Brittany...I completely understand you anxiety! I have been preparing for a baby for almost a year and met Lola the week she hatched, yet I still had that "freak out" moment 3 months later when I was told she could come home. She has been home for almost a week and things are going great. Trust yourself and just take things slow. Remember that teaching independence is an important life lesson. Good luck!

With my limited experience, it is comforting to see the trials and tribulations of others who are working through difficult times. I guess in a sense, the old saying is true....Misery loves company! The first time Shadow screamed like that I was out of town and my mother in law informed me that Shadow was hurting herself on a toy and screaming in pain! Once I came home, I experienced the scream and it definitely was not the toy! lol
