  1. Why Greys take so long to start talking is weird, maybe because they are so smart. Who know?
  2. Reading MY EMAILS CHECKING THE FORUM AND RECOUPING FROM A GRAVEYARD SHIFT.
  3. I'm not real sure Sadie knows that much about toys she never touches the ones I placed in her cage, she doesn't appear to be afraid of them but she doesn't play with them either. I have heard of preening toys thought I might try those as well if I could get het to play at all.
  4. Thanks Dave we are going to do blood panels on her next visit, she just did a gram stain that was neg and a general check up but wanted to give Sadie time to adjust to her new home before we got stated on all of the other. I took her in to the vet on the second day I had her, my vet wants to see her after a diet change and some time to adjust to her new home then if no improvement we are going to do more testing.
  5. How old is your bird? 6 or 7 years How long has he been plucking? Unknown she is a recent rescue only had her a few weeks Where did you hear about holistic medications used on birds? From a book I own on Holistic care for birds
  6. Too bad I can't whistle or I might jump in there and join in the fun but I do a lot of dancing.
  7. Sadie is the most enjoyable bird you would think that I raised her she loves me so much, wants to cuddle and ask for tickles all day long. She is really starting to show all she knows now, she can whistle whole songs and does a great job at it too as she is whistling she is dancing to her own tune,TOO CUTE! I am so very happy with this rescue as soon as I get the plucking under control I guess I would have to say she is PERFECT....LOL....

  10. I was thinking about trying some of the different Bach flower holistic remedies for Sadie's feather picking anyone ever tried them before? I have been doing a lot of reading on the subject there are some that are suppose to calm the bird and therefore stop the picking. What do you think?

  13. I agree with you about the shoulder thing, I have a friend with a horrible scar from her Too on her shoulder. You know I was just thinking my grandson has a play computer it looks like a real laptop and it is red (almost pink) I wonder if you might try setting him up with his own computer and see what happens. Could be a dumb idea but I have had worse...LOL

  19. Thanks for all of you kind words and encouragement, Sadie really is so totally different than Gabby my older Grey, Sadie doesn't have the neurotic personality that Gabby does she is fun to be around I discovered tonight she likes to dance so I guess we are going to have to start dancing together some...LOL

Would I be playing it if it did?
  21. I have three greys and my ONE amazon is louder than all three of the greys put together. Putting them in the cage will cause them to bond with each other and will no longer want anything to do with you.
