  1. He looks a little darling. Hope his recovery is quick.
  2. A friend of mine came this morning to plumb a dishwasher in, the birds were all on their perches when i went upstairs. I came back down and found Chocko had climbed down, tootled across the floor and was sat in Boffs toolbox picking tools up and saying "come on" to him.
  3. Come on Spock!!! You can do it!  :woohoo:
  4. If prayers were all it took to get Spock back to health he would be a fat hippo! Were all praying for his recovery.
  5. Mine dont mix either, Chocko constantly shouts for the dog but one or the other is always locked up. Accidents happen quickly. Yesterday i didnt realise the cat was on the window ledge behind the curtains so the birds were all out, Chocko climbed off her stand and walked across the floor, the cat appeared from nowhere. I had Bella and Bellino attached to my body at the time so it was difficult to chase the cat away without everything ending in a big wing flapping/ panic session. Its never worth the risk.
  6. HAPPY HATCHDAY ALFIE!!:woohoo: :woohoo:
  7. HAPPY HATCHDAY ALFIE!!:woohoo: :woohoo:
  8. Thats good news, well done Spock and the rest of you. Hope the progress continues.
  9. Good luck, i sincerely hope you succeed.
  10. I thought Rishi was fine now, so sorry hes not, its been going on some time, can i do anything financially to help him?
  11. Is he associating his cage with the injury? If thats where he did it and he only does it when he goes back in it could be psychological? Is there another cage he could go in to test or maybe even move everything round in his old one and possibly move the cage itself so he doesnt recognise it as the place where his accident happened?
  12. Thats so cute and clever, Bella uses her toys, she swings them hard and positions herself underneath them shouting "COME ON!!!!" She usually ends up getting her head bashed though, still, it keeps her occupied,
  13. Poor Spock, praying for a quick recovery for you, get plenty of rest and let your parronts tend to your every need and whim, in the meantime have a happy hatchday.
  14. Get well soon Spock, positive thoughts for you.
  15. I have a large double cage, 2 of mine now have 1 side and Chocko who i got last September has the other half. She did have her own cage for a couple of months til i was sure there wouldnt be any problems. Theyre all fine although i was hoping to remove the divider so they could all share the space, doesnt look like its going to happen. Providing you dont have 2 aggressive birds that actually try to attack each other you should be fine. The best bet is to try them while your in to monitor any problems and remove them your not able to supervise til your happy. Bitten feet can be quite dangerous.
  16. She looks very happy to be "trapped!"
  17. She is a gorgeous dog in every way, hes really hoping to keep hold of her but not able to guarantee it, told me last night that he may just have to take her back to rspca but i said i would ask round first. To be honest hes struggling with himself at the moment and Sasha is making things even harder for him.
  18. A good friend of mine has hit hard times and is putting his house on the market tomorrow, he has a gorgeous dog but may have to give her up. He got her from the rspca a few years ago so shes not young but in good health. Rather then send her back there i said i would ask round to see if someone would be willing to take her if worst comes to worst, i would love her but my dog would just hate her.
  19. I have no idea what i spend, i just shut my eyes and hand over money constantly. Then its my horses turn as well, its no wonder im permanently skint!!!
  20. That parrot does belong to an experienced breeder that is very careful with her birdies, im also on a forum she started. I can see where everyone is coming from about the birdie being out in the cold but it was only for a minute to let her see it and how many of us let our human kids play out in it for hours til theyre blue. I would have loved to let mine see it in the flesh without the window seperating them. After saying that im with Jingles, i have to leave my heating on low for them during the night in case theyre cold and i also have a bald dog that needs to keep warm after a skin infection killed her hair follicles a few months ago. I really hate my house being warm during the night but fids and dog need to be kept warm.
  21. My youngest 2 have never been clipped, however for some reason Bella became unable to fly after she had mastered it. She wasnt plucking or anything. She has recently tried again and is mastering the art at last. Chocko was clipped from a young age we think and despite having full feathers again she still cant do it, she rarely even attempts as she is now a master at climbing anything to get to where she wants.
  22. Thanks again guys, so far so good, hes not showing any signs of doing them at the moment and seems to becoming human at the moment. He told me last night that he has even been to the dr re his stomach pains and headaches. When i managed to get him into lifeline last year he refused to allow them to contact his own dr so its a big step for him that hes gone there himself. He was never aggressive, dont think he was capable most of the time anyway and if he was rattling for a fix i just used to tell him to go and get one but stay at his own house after although it was rare for him to turn up here before he was already stoned in the first place so he just comatosed every night. Im not holding my breath yet though, after this past month of having a loving human being for a boyfriend there will be no way i will stick by him if he goes back on it, never again will i put up with a zombie again that needs constant supervision.
